Izzie is your ordinary Twenty-four year old woman. She has a fondness of the rain and forests around her. The moon seemed to call out her name and she felt drawn to objects people would deem as un-ordinary. Growing up she never fit in with anyone that was considered popular and "normal". She did have friends though. Other kids who where deemed uncool, unusual, and just your overall unpopular teens. Izzie moved away from her home and moved to Oklahoma to see her family there and try to get a new start and along the way discovered she was just a pawn and a tool used for hate, money, and a punching bag. Words used to hurt her but she soon grew strong and had enough of the screaming and violence that she had grown accustomed to, in her years growing up. She soon realized that her life meant more than to be a verbal and sometimes physical punching bag. After she left they destroyed her things because they were mad that she actually stood up for herself and decided to take her own life into her own hands.
Some months passed by and she finally felt at peace with herself and found a great job and family and friends who actually cared and loved her like she deserved. Izzie was never the one to believe supernatural things existed, that is until the night she met the owl on her walk through the town. The owl seemed to be blind but that didn't stop it from looking in her direction. Growing up Izzie was always told owls were bad omens and that they foretold that someone somewhere was going to pass, and that she was to stay away. Izzie couldn't do that for the owl mesmerized her with her beauty. She inches closer with her hand out to see if the owl would be able to tell that she was not there to hurt it, but in fact try and get to know this strange looking but beautiful creature.
Elizabeth came to find out the owls name and where she came from. Her name is KoKo and she wasn't an ordinary owl. KoKo came from a place where time stood still and where her and her kind could see visions of the future. Unfortunately KoKo is the last of the Time Keeping Owls. She had the most beautiful colors anyone had ever seen; Her wings and head were of crimson like the velvet sheet that covers Izzie's bed, her chest; blue like the evening sky, and orange markings were upon her oval face. She had touches of silver throughout her feathers and her eyes so blind but filled with the twinkling of the midnight sky. KoKo is however beautiful and rare that to see her was to be in awe. Her feathers feel as if they were made from clouds, soft and ever so fragile for such a strong creature.
Izzie kept questioning Koko about all sorts of things. Koko did not want to get into her treacherous past right away and avoided many of Izzies questions. The one question that echoed in her ears was "why does everyone think you're a bad omen?" KoKo frozen had to take a moment to find the right words. Izzie was pondering why KoKo looked so frozen and deep into thought, Izzie wondered if she shouldn't have asked the question at this time, but yet should she had waited until a later date? A few moments had went by and Koko told Izzie she is a bad omen. With a puzzled look on Izzies face Koko explained. "People fear me because they do not understand me. I'm a very unusual creature. I can do and see things most can't. I can see into the future..." Izzie interrupted "That isn't a bad thing! You can see what wonderful life that other people will have, and you can prevent the bad things from happening." Izzie said with wonder. With a pause and a slight sigh KoKo continued, "I mostly see death and though many of times I have tried to prevent them, it sadly is never in my favor to do so."
With a saddened expression it was then that Izzie decided that it was time she should explain some of her understandings with her and see what she could make of Izzie's thoughts. "KoKo" Izzie said with a disgruntled look, "I know we had just briefly met but i do have some more questions and its about myself this time, I shall spare you the constant asking about yourself." Izzie gave her an apologizing glance and continued to talk. "All my life I've felt out of place, I know you may not have the answers i am looking for but i must ask. Why is it I fell more at peace within the walls of the forests, light of the moon, and the flow of the water on my skin?" "That my friend is a very good question, but you see the sun is rising and I must rest my tired soul." KoKo replied as she fluffed her feathers and nuzzled her beak into her chest. "I bid you rest of comfort as I shall retreat to the comfort of my bed to do the same. Have a good rest and I'll see you once the stars and moon covers the sky once more."
