A/N - What the hell was I thinking for this plot.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, all you need to know is the character names. Ubisoft don't sue me.

Jason Kenway.

Brayden Dorian.

Luca Auditore.

Elias Ibn-La'Ahad.

Don't ask. Just - don't.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jason looked out at the slumbering city, blissfully ignorant of the eternal war that raged below the surface. The sunrise cast a warm glow onto Jason, illuminating his golden hair.

He adjusted his grip on the flagpole and sighed, surveying Brooklyn. Jason's life was a confusing one. But at least he had his friends.

Jason heard soft footsteps behind him and could immediately tell it was one of his friends. Members of his order held themselves differently than normal people, and Jason's ragtag group of friends held themselves in a distinctly different way again.

They were the ones who did the dirty work. It wasn't pretty, nor did it have glory, but it was necessary.

Jason quickly skimmed through his rather short list of candidates. It wasn't Luca. Luca was too stealthy to even be heard – unless he wanted to be heard. It wasn't Eli. Eli's footsteps were heavier. Now out of options, Jason knew it was Brayden.

"Hello Brayden. Do you think I could land in the water?"

Brayden climbed over to Jason and peered over the edge at the massive expanse of the Hudson river.

"Knowing your luck, yes," Brayden said, "However, I feel that jumping off a twenty-five-story building may be a bad idea for legitametly anyone else."

Jason smirked. He did have the luck of the devil. This allowed him to get away with ridiculous things.

"Remember when I said that-" Jason began.

"You hated Luca's cookies? How could I forget, Jason?"

"And when I-"

"Said that Elias had forced you to say it and we all watched Luca go after him with a spatula? You remind me every fifteen seconds."

Jason coughed and Brayden quirked an eyebrow.

"Anyway, why are you here?"

Brayden smiled and said, "Elias found a kitten in an alleyway and Luca is trying to feed it chocolate chip cookies."

"Shut the front door."

"Consider it shut, Jason."
