DECEMBER 25th
daniel roamed the first floor like a lost child. his big blue eyes were filled with worry as he searched for his beloved brunet. he knew the boy was twenty one years old and could most defiantly handle himself, but his nerves were still on high as all the possible scenarios of what could happen to corbyn ran through his mind.
he peeked his head into the kitchen, game room, lobby/lounge area, he even checked outside. the boy wasn't turning up anywhere.
meanwhile, back in room 309, devyn walked back out to the balcony with a smug smile. "i really should be an actress," she giggled over to the boy who sadly sat on the cold outdoor furniture. it was a comforting cold though. "i bought you some time to regather yourself, but you might want to be quick because he's on the verge of a heart attack."
"he's that worried?" corbyn questioned, cocking his head to the side.
"corbyn, he thought you got kidnapped," she chuckled, sitting across from him at the patio table. she grabbed his cold hand, giving it a comforting squeeze, "nothing between you two is messed up, i can assure you that. you did nothing wrong."
corbyn groaned, slouching back in his seat. "i still feel bad though. like i asked him this dumb question and he freaked out. like duh corbyn obviously you guys are moving fast, but it's okay. it's okay right devyn? like-"
"you both are the dumbest people on the planet," the girl rolled her green eyes. she scooped up a speck of snow and chucked it over at corbyn with a laugh, "the two of you are like anxious little cats, jumping every time there is a minor inconvenience. relax. you love daniel. daniel loves you. at the end of the day isn't that enough?"
"i'm not good at relationships," he whined, "dev is there wine in this room?"
"you read my mind," she giggled. she got up from her seat, brushing her hands along her now dampened pants from the melted snow. she hurried into the room and grabbed two wine glasses, pouring a bit of red wine in each.
"here you go sir. the finest wine in all of italy," she faked an italian accent as shd handed the glass over to him, head proudly raised. corbyn couldn't help but laugh at her. "to dorbyn!" she cheered, clashing her glass against his.
"to dorbyn," corbyn sighed. he took a long sip of the dark red liquid, sending the alcohol down his throat. he looked out on to the view before him, admiring the glorious winter wonderland. "i might as well go back to him now," he pursed his lips, looking up at devyn who was leaned up against the railing. "thank you for everything dev. really, you don't understand how much you've helped us since we got here."
"of course," she smiled, "i always love a good christmas love story."
with that, corbyn walked back inside the room, wine still in hand. he pushed the front door open, looking left and right down the hall. it was like the roles reversed and he was now on the hunt to find his lover.
he traveled downstairs, proceeding down the hallway that lead to the assortment of centers they had for people. kids, games, a small bar which corbyn had no clue existed until now.
corbyn stepped into the bar, catching sight of his boyfriend. he was facing the window and looking down, presumably at his phone. corbyn softly smiled and set his wine down on one of the small tables before coming up behind daniel. he wrapped his arms around the boy's waist from behind, leaving a kiss on the back of his neck, "hey baby," he whispered.
daniel jumped and turned around to face the brunet. "oh my god," he mumbled, forcing the boy into his arms. he hugged him tightly, as if they were reuniting after months apart from one another. "corbyn matthew i swear to god you are going to be the death of me."
"i'm sorry," corbyn said with a pout. he tilted his head upwards and left a few pecks along daniel's jawline, "i didn't mean to leave so suddenly, i just needed time to think."
daniel cupped his face and kissed his lips, tasting the remanence of wine. "drinking with out me?" he murmured against the boy's lips.
corbyn laughed as he grabbed his hands and slightly leaned backwards, "dani i love you."
"i love you too," the blond reciprocated. "and i don't care what speed we move at, i just want to be with you."
"then that makes us even," corbyn kissed him again before beginning to fix the boy's messy hair, "sorry baby, i didn't mean to drive you crazy."
"it's okay, i overreacted and worked myself up for nothing," he smiled and rolled his eyes, "i just don't know how i'm going to be able to say goodbye to you when we go back to our homes "
corbyn frowned, "don't remind me."
"but hey, we have at least a day or so left here—the roads are supposed to be cleared up by then. i say we make the most of it."
