Lunch for more than 2

Courtney's POV:

We arrive at a restaurant and see Bridgette's siblings and 3 tall boys too. 

As Jo gets off the bus one of the boys hug her.

"Hey Jojo," he says hugging her.

"Hey Luke. Hi Jake, Jack."

"Wait you know them," I ask her.

"Yeah these are my brothers. Jake, Jack, and Luke."

"You must be Courtney. Jo was right you are really tan."

"Um thanks."

"Hi everyone!" Bridgette's oldest sister says. She was Alexandra. Bridgette's other siblings are Samantha, J.P (John Paul but he's more known as JP), and her oldest sibling Alexander but Alex for short.

"Took you guys long enough," Samantha says closing her book.

"Be nice Sammy. She's the one who's planning this. Don't blame her."

"Hi Bridge," Alex says. He may be the oldest but he acts like the youngest.

"Can we head inside? I'm starving. Bridgette wouldn't let us eat back at the house and we drove for 5 hours."

"Bridge! You seriously let your friends starve before getting here! That's not very nice," Alexandra said. She was the second youngest (other than Bridgette) and always loved to think on the bright side. To put it simple she's really nice but no one appreciates her for it except for her family. 

"Sorry. Maybe I should've let them grab a snack. Let's get inside."

We all walk in before I feel a grab on my arm. I turn around and see Duncan pulling.

"What are you doing?"

"Can I talk to you for a moment," he said a little worried. Normally I wouldn't believe him but he looked really worried.

"Courtney where are you going," Bridgette says as I walk to Duncan.

"Um you guys go in without me I have to do something."

She shrugged and walked in.

I go to Duncan and say, "What is it?"

"So you know that I'm looking for jobs right?"

"Obviously. You live with me."

"No shit but I got a call from an interviewer and I got one."

"A job?"

"Yeah. Problem is I have to move to Florida. It's a tattoo business and they work for very famous people. It pays about a million at the lowest and 10 mill at the highest. It's just some tattoo business and I need the money but I don't wanna leave New York." At that very moment I saw something that I haven't seen Duncan do in years. Tears start to roll down his face and I reach out to grab his hands.

"Look I know it's hard to choose but if the job pays that good you shouldn't give that opportunity up. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. Move to Florida. Get the job. Say yes."

He wipes his tears and grabs his phone.

"I'll think about it."

"Okay. I just don't want to be the reason you give something like this up. If I got a lawyer job out of town I would've moved but I would miss every moment with you."

"You go in Court. I got a call to make."

I walk away and go into the restaurant and sit down.

"What happened?"

"Don't worry about it. It's something between me and Duncan." I feel like I'm about to cry. As much as I think this is good for him. I don't want him to leave me.

A half hour later he walks back in. We had already ordered by then so good luck getting the waiter.

"What did you do Duncan?"

"I told him no. I thanked him for the offer but I don't think Florida's for me."

I slapped him.

"You idiot!"

I then wrap my arms around him crying.

"You idiot."

"Courtney, it's okay. It may be a million bucks but you're more than a billion."

"Wait! Really? You gave up a million dollar payments for Courtney?!"

"Yeah. In my opinion I can find a job that's more local."

"Wow man. That's true loyalty."

"Yeah. I did recently do another interview for a place and they said my tattoo art was impressive. They said there was a big chance they would call me."

"Well that's good."

"Speaking of jobs, Courtney have you got any law firm call backs?"

"No not yet. I recently had an interview though. They said really good resume and said I could be a very good lawyer so there's a chance."

"Well that's good."

Soon the waiter comes back.

"Oooo yay food!"
