Kentucky here we come

Courtney's POV:

I wake up feeling warm arms wrapped around me.

"Why good morning Princess."

I flinched away.

"Why were you snuggling me!"

"Um I was snuggling you. Sure moved you here but you went into me for warmth and You were the one who wrapped their cold ass hands around me. If anything I should be asking YOU why you were snuggling me." He smirked as he said the last sentence. I scoffed and got out of the bed. I hated it when he made a point. He was always just so immature so when he did say something smart it pissed me off.

"Where you going Princess?"

"Anywhere but here you Ogre."

I slammed the door and went to Jo's room. She said that the door would be unlocked and I really needed to be away from Duncan. I open the door and my mouth go's from a frown you a huge grin as I see Brick awake reading a book but in his free hand petting Jo's head as she sleeps. She shivers and snuggles up closer to Brick. I was about to let out a squeal when Brick makes a face telling me to be quiet. I obey but walk over and sit next to where Brick was on the bed.

"So how did this happen?" I whisper to Brick.

"Well she got cold and got into the bed. She told me I was warm and the couch was freezing. She snuggled up to me and we kinda both just fell asleep."

"Awwwwww," I whisper. "That's adorable."

He laughs a little. "I know. Jo may be tough but she has a soft side. I just wish she would show it more." He stops petting her head as she wakes up.

"Morning Jo," I say.

"Morning ma'am."

"Morning." She was still really tired.

"Do you maybe want to go back to sleep? You look really-"He was cut off by Jo.

"I'm fine," She said with a yawn. "If I need I'll sleep on the bus."

From behind me I hear, "Sounds like Jo's up."

I see Geoff and Bridgette standing by the door way.

"Why does it matter?"

"We have to get going," Bridgette said. "We have breakfast in the bus so all you need to worry about is packing your bags."

I get up from my place. "Well I should make sure that Duncan packs."

"Actually Duncan has already packed." I have a shocked look on my face.

"Yeah right. How many times did he beg you guys to tell me that."

"Not one time Princess." I see Duncan behind them holding his suit case and my little black bag.

"What are you doing with THAT!" I snatch the bag out of his hands as he acts defensive as he puts his hands up with a smirk.

"Chill Princess. I packed your stuff too and for once I wasn't nosy. The stuff in there is fine."

"Bet you just shoved it all in," I said walking back to our room.

I look into the bag and go under all the padding I put in to find the red locket Duncan gave me when we were 5. I open it to see the same old phrase I'm always here. I smile and close it. I see him walk over as I shove the locket back in the bag.

"What were you looking at Princess," He asks me.

"None of your bees wax."
