vernon and minghao were standing next to each other on the empty bridge. they were both leaning their arms on the railing and hadn't said anything yet.

"well..." vernon said quietly. "why did you want me to meet you?"

"i needed to apologize and explain." vernon turned his head to minghao but minghao remained looking at the icy blue water beneath them. "i'm sorry i didn't talk to you after you confessed, that was messed up of me to do."

"why did you?"

"i needed to sort out some feelings and i finally feel ready to tell you." vernon waited for minghao to speak. they were in a short comfortable silence.

"vernon," minghao faced vernon finally and they made eye contact. "i like you too. i really do." vernon grew a large gummy smile on his face but he hid it behind his scarf but the blush on his cheeks was clear.

"when i was with wonwoo, i thought that he would never hurt me...but i was wrong and he cheated twice. i lost trust in everyone from that point on. i like you so much but i was scared i would be hurt again if i was with you. i sorry i didn't have faith in you, i know you are a good person but it's just me-" vernon put his hand behind minghaos ear and turned his face towards him. minghao got quiet.

"don't apologize for being you, i understand that it can happen and it's not your fault. i don't want to rush you into anything you aren't ready for."

"no vernon, i'm ready, i want to be with you so badly! i don't want my past with wonwoo to hold me back from being with you." minghaos eagerness was cute to vernon. with his hand still behind minghaos head, he pulled minghao in closer slowly and their lips met. minghaos arms wrapped around vernons neck and vernons hands made it to minghaos waist. they felt so happily to finally be with each other that they couldn't stop kissing until minghao felt something touch his nose.

when minghao pulled away, he tried looking down at his own nose but vernon laughed and wiped the melting snowflake off.

they looked up and saw the snow falling quickly.

"shall we go on a date at my house because it's to cold outside?" vernon asked and bowed like minghao was a prince. minghao played along and took his hand.

"we shall fine gentleman." minghao giggled and made vernons heart flutter. they held each other's hands on their way to vernons place.

minghao and vernon were perfect together and inseparable. they have been dating for 3 years and they even moved in together after vernon finished collage.

on their 3rd anniversary, vernon proposed unexpectedly. of course minghao said yes and they were engaged.

minghao was so happy that he took his chances with vernon and didn't reject him. he's happy he dated wonwoo and grew from that relationship and got to where he is now.

minghao actually invited wonwoo and jun, who were still dating to this day, to the wedding. minghao and wonwoo were on good terms and he wanted wonwoo to be there.

everything was perfect for minghao...all because he took a chance.
