Mrs. Manoban's POV
We ran out of food stock today. There're only a few eggs and some bananas left, so that's all I can provide for my precious son's breakfast this morning. After finishing frying the eggs, she heaves a big sigh and starts calling the 13 year-old Liam.
"Honey! Breakfast is ready. Come and eat before you go to school" - She called her son.
"Yes mom...coming" - He shouted from his small bedroom. A few minutes later...he got out of his bedroom and quickly greeted his beautiful mom with a kiss on her cheek.
"Good Morning, mom" - He greeted his mom. His mom greeted back and gave him a pinch on his cheek before kissing him on the same spot.
"I'm sorry honey...this morning we only have some eggs and banans for breakfast. I'll go grocery shopping today. Do you to want eat something?" - Mrs. Manoban asked Liam
"Eggs and bananas for breakfast are good for health mom and you know I love and eat anything you cook, right? Because you are the best cook ever." - The thoughtful and grateful Liam replied with a smile on his face and started eating his breakfast happily. She watched him enjoying his food and smiled softly.
"Oh...today I don't have swimming practice, so I'll go to Seulgi's house to help with the gardening to earn some money." - He told his mom while eating.
"You're still young, honey. Don't tire yourself with work. You should focus only on your studies and your swimming activities. I don't want you to worry about money."
"Don't worry mom! I'm a smart boy. I'm doing well with my studies, and gardening is not even a hard work for me because I'm strong." - He told his mom while flexing his small biceps proudly. Mrs. Manoban just chuckled and shaked her head softly. She can't stop him.
As soon as Liam left to school, Mrs. Manoban heaved a big sigh. Since Liam's dad passed away because of cancer, their lives have become more difficult financially because her job as a chef in a small restaurant doesn''t provide much money to support their rent, daily meals, and other neccessities. Thanks God...Liam is a smart kid, so he got a full scholarship from his school. Since the money from one job is not enough for them, she always looks for some part-time jobs like babysitting, cleaning, and she even sells some homemade kimchi to their neighbors and people she knows. Also, Liam is a hardworking kid, so he always tries to help his mom earn some money.
—Time Skip—
No One's POV
On her way to the market, Mrs. Manoban noticed a woman about her age walking while focusing on her phone and about to cross the road without carefully observing her surrounding. Then, a motorbike was about to run into her. Seeing that...Mrs. Manoban quickly ran to the woman and pushed her back to save her, so the woman stumbled back and Mrs. Manoban was hit by the motorbike. Luckily, she wasn't badly injured.
"Oh God! Are you okay? I'll take you to the hospital." - The woman shockingly stated and quickly helped Mrs. Manoban to stand up.
"I'm fine. I'm fine. It's just a minor injury. How about you? I'm sorry I had to push you." - Liam's mom said. Her hand and leg were bleeding because of some scratches.
"No no...please don't apologize. I should be the one to say that. You're injured because of me. Thank you for saving me...now please let me help you to he hospital." Seeing the worried look on the woman's face, she agreed to go to the hospital.

The checkup is done, and she only has a few scratchs which the nurse has already applied some bandaids on. so, there's nothing to worry about.
"I'm glad there's nothing serious. Once again...thank you so so much. Btw...I'm Jiwon Kim. Just call me Jiwon." - Mrs. Kim stated and offered her handshake.
"I'm Chittip...Chittip Manoban." - She replied with a warm smile and accepted the handshake. Mrs. Kim realized that Mrs. Manoban is not Korean but she didn't want to ask any further on their first and not so pleasant meeting.
Mrs. Kim wanted to offer a ride to Mrs. Manoban to the market, but unfortunately she received a call and needed to leave immediately. So, instead, she gave her name card and told Mrs. Manoban to contact if ever she needs any help because she wants to repay Mrs. Manoban for saving her from the accident.
—Time Skip Again—
It's now 2pm...time for Mrs. Manoban to go to work at the restaurant. As if the accident isn't bad enough, as soon as she arrived at the restaurant, the owner told her that the restaurant is sold and will be closed starting from tomorrow. Hearing that, her heart almost dropped because that's the only stable job she has.
She didn't tell her son the bad news because she didn't want to him to worry and get distracted. After almost 2 months, she still couldn't find a stable job and the money she has saved is running out. It's not enough to pay for their next renting fee. Having no other choices, she decided to call Mrs. Kim for help.
They decided to meet for a cup of coffee, and Mrs. Manoban told Mrs. Kim everything and asked if there's anything she can do for Mrs. Kim to earn some money to support her son and herself. As a kind-hearted person Mrs. Kim is, she offered Mrs. Manoban a job as her family's chef and even offered her and her son to stay at her house. No word can describe how happy Mrs. Manoban is and she kept on saying thanks to Mrs. Kim.
—On the day they move into the Kim's mansion—
No One's POV
Mrs. Manoban told Liam about her new job and them having to move in. So, the day came...the two arrived at the mansion just before lunch time. The guard let the two in, and as soon as they stepped in the big mansion, Liam was amazed by the interior design and how elegant everything is...the huge staircase, the big chandelier, beautiful paintngs...and more.
"Oh here you arrived, Chittip...welcome to my house, please feel at home" Mrs. Kim stated while giving Mrs. Manoban a hug like they've been bestfriends for years. Then her eyes shifted to Liam. "Oh...this handsome young man must be your son." She stated and smile softly at Liam.
"Hello...ma'am! I'm Liam Manoban. Thank you for giving my mom a job and a nice place for us to stay. Please kindly let me know if you have any work for me to do, I want to help mom too. Don't worry ma'am, despite my young age, I am a strong man and I can help with the gardening." Liam bowed 90 degree to Mrs. Kim while she was impressed by the boy's manner😁, and his mom is also surprised. Before Mrs. Kim could reply, the voice of a man interrupted her. Her husband 🙄
"I like this kid already😄" Mr. Kim said amusingly while walking towards them.
"Hello Mr. Kim, I'm Chittip and this is my son Liam" Mrs. Manoban bowed to him and he replied with soft nod and smile on his face still amused and impressed by Liam.
"Good Morning sir" Liam said while bowing 90 degree to show the respect to the old man

They are now sitting in the living room talking about the job and some important stuff that the mother and son as well as the Kim couple should know.
"Liam is about the same age as my daughter Jennie, but she's not home today. She normally spends her weekends at her counsin's house. Btw...where do you study young man?" Mrs. Kim asked him
"I study at YG college, ma'am." He replied softly
"Just call me auntie and my husband uncle" she smiled at him and continued "and about your request earlier, you don't have to worry...we won't give your mom a lot of work, so you should focus on your studies only, okay?" She told the kid softly and he replied and nodded his head.
"Oh it's almost lunch time, should I start preparing food for you now?" Mrs. Manoban asked the Kims
"No...that's okay Chittip, lunch is already prepared. You two can relax for a while or tour the house a little bit more and come back for lunch later?" Mrs. Kim suggested, so the mother and son nodded in agreement.
Liam felt really happy and grateful that they met kind-hearted people like the Kims. He thought it's rare to meet people who are wealthy and nice like the couple, so he's really grateful.
