It was a few days after Taehyung's twenty first birthday. Seokjin and Taehyung were both working on the same project — Yoongi's First Love music video. Seokjin was already an established actor, gaining recognition rapidly. Taehyung, a beginner. Hence, over the period of the shoot, Taehyung constantly stayed back to practise his facial expressions and maneuver.

Seokjin saw this opportunity and gathered courage to officially ask Taehyung to move in. "Hyungie- You both literally live in each other's pants. I don't understand why you are so fussy about asking him to move in. All his luggage is already in your cupboard and he uses your bed more than you do. Just ask him before it is too late and fix the deal" Yoongi spoke. Seokjin nervously looked at the silver band which was caged in the box, "I don't know yoongi. I don't know what if it isn't like that-". Yoongi groaned, "Hyungie, I'll be honest, I knew the both of you were meant to be before you both even met each other. You two don't just fit together and complete the picture, you both change the picture itself when together. Your black and his white doesn't form a dichrome but a complete color palette. You both are so disgustingly cute that it makes me want to find my own love. It is meant to be. So do it before it is too late Hyungie. Don't regret this later", Yoongi warned.

So Seokjin carefully planned the event. That evening, while Taehyung stayed back for practice, Seokjin set a candle lit dinner and cooked all the food that Taehyung enjoyed. "Tae-Tae, when are you coming home, I miss you. You can practise tomorrow." Seokjin whined. "I'll be there in twenty minutes hyungie. Don't eat without me", Taehyung warned. "I wouldn't", Seokjin confirmed.

Seokjin buzzed with excitement. Fiddling with the silver band in his pockets he paced around the room. Finally unable to contain his excitement he called Yoongi. They talked, talked for a very long time. "Hyungie- didn't you say he'll be there in twenty. It's been over an hour now", Yoongi spoke. Seokjin nodded, "He may have gotten carried away. You know how serious he is about this project." Seokjin yawned. The two friends chattered for a little more about the project and other chatters until they both were drowsy.

Seokjin dialed Taehyung, a while later, worried now but much to his despise the monotonous ring tone answered him. Seokjin waited a little more and then called Park Jimin. Silence. Why were they both not picking calls? Seokjin panicked and drove to the set in hope of finding Taehyung there but the place was dark and empty. Taehyung's home was his next destination but he was unsuccessful. Seokjin even drove to Park Jimin's home but was greeted by a younger boy, who Seokjin faintly remembers as Jimin's boyfriend, from all the pictures Taehyung has shown him. "Jiminie is out with his friends. I'll let him know you visited", the boy spoke. Seokjin nodded, "Oh, no it is alright. Thank you", he spoke and returned home. Sad but content that Taehyung was safe, with his friends.

Seokjin waited for Taehyung till four in the morning. The candles were blown out and the food was no longer warm but Seokjin's love for Taehyung was still budding and the silver ring in his pocket was still beautiful. Taehyung did not come.

Seokjin lost his patience, called the boy several times but he wasn't answered by Taehyung's soothing voice. Until at seven in the morning, his phone rang. "Seokjinnie, Your grandmother is no more-", his mother cried into the phone. "I'll be there-", Seokjin answered simply. Seokjin tried calling Taehyung once more hoping that Taehyung would rush home to him and envelope him in a hug and tell him that everything will be alright but he didn't.

Perhaps it was too late-

Seokjin managed to speak bits and pieces from the night. It was overwhelming to reminisce and let it out in words but Seokjin let his thoughts out. Hoseok did not jump to console Seokjin. He just held the older boy's hands in his hands rubbing then with warmth. "You are really strong. You really are", Hoseok whispered after a long silence. Seokjin nodded silently, "I wish you were correct. I wish I was brave enough to go back and ask him. Ask him, why and how he let go of us. But I wasn't Hoseokie. I wasn't. I just waited for him to come back and he never did", Seokjin muffled. Hoseok pulled Seokjin into a hug rubbing his back softly. "You did your best. I am sure you did", Hoseok cooed back.
