Sitting on different sized chairs, on a corner of the room, Delilah was introduced to Mrs. Ellen Harvelle and Jo Harvelle, Ellen's daughter.
"I hope this doesn't sound rude, but, how did you know I was a Winchester too?" Delilah asked curiously taking a small sip from a coffee Ellen prepared.
"Even in the hunting world, as secret as it may be, following monsters' asses isn't enough. Sometimes, gossiping can really take all our time. I'm owner to a very known to hunters bar, and I overheard a conversation once about John Winchester, and his new daughter. I thought it was just drunk talk but then John himself walked into Harvelle's Roadhouse, my tavern, and told me the story himself," Ellen gulped loudly and looked at the brothers, "They can't deny they are related to you," she said smiling widely and Delilah found herself smiling back. Someone called Ellen and she excused herself from the conversation. Delilah started to listen to her brothers' conversation with Jo, noticing, the huge interest shown by Dean. Deciding to torture her brother, since that's what siblings do some times, she talked.
"Is she an angel, Dean?" Delilah asked loud enough, so that Jo and Sam could notice her. Jo blushed furiously but smiled, and Dean felt so ashamed he decided he had to think on a revenge.
"No, I'm not," Jo said embarrassed.
"The way Dean looks at you while you're talking states otherwise. He looks at you like you're some sort of special being or something," Delilah said winking.
"Oh," Jo said blushing intensely and looked at Dean smiling, "I like her."
"Everyone likes her, apparently," Dean muttered.
"So, what is going on in this town, Jo?" Sam asked trying to change the conversation topic for once and for all.
"Demons," Jo said quietly, "an infestation of demons. Any way you look at, demons are there," she looked at Delilah and smiled softly, "They talk about you, you know. They talk about the Winchester girl, something about a Heir and stuff, do you know what they're talking about?"
Delilah gasped, she knew that, sooner or later, someone would have done a similar question. She started to play with her fingers. She breathed in deeply, and tried to pull up a confused face.
"No," she finally muttered, smiling softly, "I haven't heard about anything."
"Well, if you say so," Jo said in disbelief. Delilah looked at her nervously and then, her gaze traveled to Dean; her eyes started to water and she breathed in deeply.
"If you excuse me," Delilah said between soft sobs, "I need some time alone," she stood up and walked towards Ellen, "Hey, Ellen, is there something I can help with here?" she asked, trying to sound calm. Although Ellen noticed her stressed tone, probably because of having a daughter or so, she smiled softly to Delilah and gave her a map.
"This, here," Ellen said pointing a dark red spot, "is our actual location, the church. And this here," she said pointing at a blue spot, "is the last place we know Rufus and Anthony were before the demons got a hold of them."
"How do you know?" Delilah asked, curiosity invading her, and making her forget her earlier nervousness, "Who are Rufus and Anthony?"
"Rufus is a hunter. He is good friends with Bobby Singer, I'm sure you know who that old guy is," she said and Delilah smiled, nodding, "and Anthony is a citizen of the town, who trained a little with Rufus before heading out with him and a another person, that guy over there, Nathan," pointing at a dirty blond guy, Ellen smiled softly at Delilah, "he's the only one that came back. Although his story is pretty suspicious, we have taken every single security measurement with him, to make sure he's not a demon."
"This means," Delilah asked interrupting, which Ellen found extremely disrespectful, but it was perfectly normal in Delilah, "you're making a plan to get to the house and try to find Rufus and Anthony?"
"It is extremely dangerous and a long, extenuating process, but yes, that's the plan," Ellen said looking seriously at Delilah, "look at it. Please give me a view, how do you see this plan?"
"Weak," Delilah said simply and Ellen stiffened. Quickly, she did her explaining, "First of all, it says here you plan to go with four people, and from those four people, only two are hunters. Secondly, this route over here, it's along an edge you clearly marked as infested, but this route over there is through a passage that is clean," Delilah said, suddenly feeling proud of her professional explanation.
"But it's a longer path," Ellen complained but Delilah just looked at her seriously.
"Longer, but clean. And it's better to get over there with all your people intact in order to fight only when necessary, than to fight along the way and get there extremely tired."
"The walk will tire them," Ellen complained again.
"It won't, if they have enough physical condition. And if they feel like hunting, they should have condition to walk long distances and run, if they plan to survive. Or, are any of them thinking of serving as bait?"
"Enough, girl. You're just like your brothers, your father and even Bobby, although you don't share blood with him," Ellen snapped and rolled the map again, closing it, "Thanks for your help, but I think we'll be okay. Four people are enough and this path will serve just fine," said that, Ellen walked away furiously leaving Delilah alone, with a couple of people looking at her.
"Haven't you ever seen someone snap something to other person?" Delilah snapped furiously and every one got back to work. She walked near a window and noticed the salt on it's border. Sighing loudly, she looked up and there was a slight ray of light from outside, although it was getting considerably late, "Gabriel," she whispered, "I need you so much."
