As soon as the bell rung I slung my bag over my shoulder heading to my locker.
I've realized that I don't like the new girl. She's probably just like the other stuck up people who live in Pine Ridge. Why would she come to this dump anyway? Her parents are practically shitting golden bricks with gems in them. I spun the dial to my lock pulling it down with a satisfying click.
"So, I didn't really catch your name back there; and I don't have any friends here so..." She trailed off drawing shapes on the locker absent mindidly. "I was thinking-"
"Thinking what? That we could be friends? Well you can go hang out with the kids from Pine Ridge when you get home. Better yet, you can tell mommy and daddy to buy you some new friends." I looked at her one last time her face was void of any emotion. I took that as my chance to leave.
Harsh I know. I don't even know the girl and I already came across as a prick. Well who cares rich people are the cause of my problems. I glanced back but, I couldn't see her the group of people trying to get to class swallowed her whole.
I got to my next class with time to spare just to see the new girl walk in. Yet again she looked scared. Maybe that's just how she looks? I pondered that for a moment before I saw her sit beside Zach. That guy is a real dee bag; we were actually best friends in one point in time. That was before he stole my crush and slept with her in ninth grade. Now that I think about it; I'm not sure why I put up with him.
For some odd reason I don't want the newbie bagged and tagged her first week here. On my way over Hannah readjusted her top to reveal more of her breast. I sighed coughing lightly when I inhaled a heap of her perfume.
"Hey Adrien." She purred placing her hand on my thigh. I knocked her hand off before I reached for the new chicks backpack.
"You're coming with me lets go." I said slinging her bag over my shoulder heading back to the dark recess of the classroom. Surprisingly she followed even though I was a complete ass earlier.
"Thanks for letting me sit with you I guess... even though you were really mean to me a couple of minutes ago." She said looking at me with her big brown eyes.
"I'm sorry, I really am." I said looking at her with what I hope is an apologetic look. I really am sorry. I don't know why, but she makes me want to protect her. Keep her safe not let anyone harm her. Even though I don't know her.
Luckily the new girl and I's schedules didn't match how cliche would that shit be? I walked down the schools stairs heading towards my black Dodge Charger. My pride and joy I saved for years just to get that car. With no help from my dad. I hit the unlock button stopping once I saw a car sitting in the once vacant spot. I got into my car reaching over to put on my seat belt before stopping.
A head of curly hair rested on the steering wheel of the bright red jeep. Shaking lightly she soon lifted her head and whipped her eyes before pulling out of the parking lot.
