Not Real

Sensei Wu was looking at his students then at Kai who was giving Cole back rubs as the black ninja enjoyed to affection he was being given.

"So the one thing I told you to do was not get bit and Kai got bit?" Sensei Wu sums up. "Yeah what is wrong with my brother and is there a cure?" Nya asks glaring daggers at Cole. "There's nothing wrong with me sis I just love this beautiful ninja," Kai said kissing Cole's cheek. "And I love you," Cole said and Kai smiles giggling.

"Was Cole bit too?" Sensei Wu asks and Jay sighed shaking his head. "Nope he just really likes Kai," Jay said and Nya glares at the earth elemental master.

"Well I am sorry to say Cole, but the love and affection Kai's giving you is not real. He was bit my what's called a love bug and whoever he sets eyes on first is the one he loves till he's given the cure," Sensei Wu explains and Cole's eyes seemed so crushed at that news looking at Kai cuddled to his side lovingly. "But it becomes real over time right?" Cole asks. "That is not up to me. Like always true love must be earned. There is a cure for the love bug, but it will take time to make," Sensei Wu said. "How long?" Lloyd asks. "A week or two," Sensei Wu answers.

"So Kai's Cole's love slave for the next week or two?" Nya screeches. "I'm happy with that," Kai sighed lovingly not having heard anything that was happening beyond Cole's heart beat.

Cole looked at Kai snuggled into his side and pushed him away. Kai looked hurt. "Cole I wanted to cuddle," Kai whines. "No don't come near me," Cole said getting up running to his room before he cries in front of the others.

Kai followed right behind him and Cole locked himself in his room. Kai bangs on the door loudly as Cole tried drowning it out.

"Cole baby please come out what did I do wrong? Do you want something to eat? I can make you whatever you want just say the word," Kai tried getting his love out of his room. When that did not work Kai did not give up even as the others tried getting him away. "You want me to give you another back rub? More kisses? Was I hugging you too hard? Baby please come out," Kai pleads pouty.

"Go away!" Cole yells through the door making Kai start crying as he banged on the door harder. "Cole please come on out. Did I hurt you? I'll kiss it better," Kai tries as he sobbed desperately.

"Kai come on he doesn't want you around," Nya said trying to drag Kai away only to be screamed at. "No! You told him to go away! I am staying here until he comes out because I'm going to protect him from you," Kai said planting himself on the floor in front of Cole's door. Sensei Wu watched this and sighs.

"Kai let me talk to him and then he will come out," Sensei Wu said to his crying student. "What did I do wrong?" Kai cries. "Nothing he's just confused and needs a moment then he will come out," Sensei Wu said. "Promise?" Kai asks. Sensei Wu nodded with a encouraging smile and Kai finally got up leaving.

"Cole you need to come out for Kai's well being," Sensei Wu said. "But he doesn't love me for real," Cole said on the other side. "Yes and I should know how it hurts when someone you love with all your heart does not love you in return. Cole if you ignore Kai like this it could hurt him both mentally and physically even after he has been given the cure. This might be the only chance you get to win his love don't let it slip away," Sensei Wu said. It was quiet on the other side and Cole opened it looking at his feet. "You serious? I could actually have him love me for real?" Cole asks. Sensei Wu nodded. "But how will I know it's real?" Cole asks. "There's a difference between forced love and real love. You will know," Sensei Wu said.

Cole nods and walked into the living room where Kai was crying in a ball while the others tried helping him. "Kai," Cole said and Kai looks up his eyes puffy. "I'm sorry I was just a little upset. We can cuddle if you want," Cole said shyly and it was a moment later before Kai jumped into his arms wrapping his legs around Cole's torso. "Sorry I hurt you," Kai whimpers.

"It's okay," Cole said slowly kissing Kai's head. Nya glares daggers at the two. "Now it's been a long day we should get to bed," Lloyd said. Cole tried putting Kai down, but Kai refused to let go. "Can I sleep with you?" Kai asks. Cole was about to come up with a excuse, but the red ninja gave the cutest puppy eyes ever and he just melted. "Of course," Cole answers and Kai smiles.

"I swear I am so going to kill you Cole," Nya hisses. "Okay then by good night," Cole said and quickly left down the hall with Kai happily following behind. The two got changed and Cole laid down in his bed with Kai quickly jumping in behind him snuggling in comfortably. "Night love," Kai said quickly falling asleep as Cole just looked at him. Kai's form was beautiful in the moonlight from outside and he was so warm and cute snuggled up in the blankets. Cole could not help himself as he wrapped his arms around Kai and spoons him. It just felt so right having him here like he had always wanted as he kisses the top of Kai's head.

"I'll get you to love me for real Kai, but for now I'm gonna enjoy this as much as I can," Cole smiles to himself falling asleep.
