"Father!"

A hoarse cry rang out. The mutant rat's body had been flung across the rooftop. Splinter hit the cold, hard pavement with a thud, his body going limp on the asphalt.

"Sensei/father/daddy/papa!" The turtle brothers cried out. Splinter weakly looked up, before his eyes rolled back inside his head and he lost consciousness, his world fading to black.

The last thing he saw was the horror-striken faces of his sons.

Light.

Bright light.

Cherry blossoms?

The aroma of sweet-smelling somethings.

Splinter's eyes cracked open as light blinded him. He was lying on a futon. A cold cloth touched his forehead as a weak groan escaped from him.

"Mada usowatsuko...do not move, you could still have a concussion." A strangely familiar feminine voice spoke up from the eery darkness.

"S-Shen...?" He spoke up, weakly. There was Tang Shen, standing before him. Darting his eyes around the room, Hamato Yoshi realized he was home, in Japan, lying in his hut.

A young girl around age 18, was standing beside the futon. Her eyes were a hazel brown and she had Yoshi's dark brown hair.

Miwa...? How? Looking down at himself, Splinter no longer saw fur. He was human again.

'I must be dead...I must have died and gone to heaven...' Yoshi thought to himself. He looked up at his late wife whom it hadn't seen in so long.

Seeing his bewildered expression, Tang Shen lightly caressed her husband's cheek. "Nokori, Yoshi...rest, you will be just fine, suimin..."

Yoshi sat up. "S-Shen...?" He repeated. "Where am I? How did I get here? And...how are you here? Have I home back in time?" He asked, bewildered.

Shen's hazel-brown eyes filled with concern. "You must have hit your head harder than I thought...you are in Japan, Yoshi. Remember?"

Yoshi did not remember.

One moment, he was fighting alongside his sons against the Shredder. The next, he was lying here, presumably in another timeline.

A timeline where his life was...perfect? "Is otou-san alright, mother?" Miwa asked, her soft voice filed with concern. She was clad in a pale pink dress with cheery blossoms embroidered on the sleeves.

Shen nodded. "Hai, he will be just fine, Miwa." She continued stroking her husband's cheek as Miwa stood by the futon, holding her father's hand.

He had watched the love of his life perish in a firery blaze years ago, and his daughter had been presumably dead for years until she returned as Karai.

Now, both his wife and daughter were here. Miwa was different. Way different than Karai. Yoshi concluded that he must have arrived in an alternate timeline somehow.

Yoshi pinched himself. Indeed, he was not dreaming. This was reality. This was real. His life was perfect once again. He was human, he had his family back and he was living in his old home that hadn't been burned to the ground.
