I hang my purse on one of the hooks next to the front door and kick off my heels, launching them towards the closet. Sweet freedom! My feet ache terribly from dancing in those obnoxious things. As I pull my vape from my purse, Agmos makes himself comfortable on the couch. Making my way across the loft, I place my vape on the end table next where Agmos is sitting.
"I'm going to wash my face and change." I tell Agmos. "Make yourself comfortable."
He wiggles on the couch, slouching down into the cushions, a smirk on his face. Sassy little shit. I stop at my dresser, grabbing a pair of black sweatpants and a plain black T-Shirt, before making my way to the bathroom. I close the door behind me and grab a washcloth off the rack.
Face freshly void of makeup, I strip out of my new favorite dress and pull on my bum clothes. I run a wet brush through my hair to eliminate the awkward wave having it in a bun all night caused. Satisfied, I leave it down, hanging over my shoulders.
I exit the bathroom to find Agmos with his head back and eyes closed. He looks so....peaceful. Like all the stress and worry about finding Fuze is far from him. His demeanor is soft and gentle like. For a moment, I almost forget he's not human...
"It's not polite to stare, Baby." Eyes still closed, Agmos smirks as the words leave his lips.
"Pfft." I snort a laugh as I make my way over to the couch. "Not much to stare at in here."
I stick my tongue out as he opens his eyes. Their white so vibrant, I wish I could capture that brightness with ink on skin... I move away from the couch and grab my iPad and apple pencil from my bedside table, an idea stirring in my mind. Turning on the tablet, I pull up the Procreate art program and plop on the couch next to Agmos.
"Yah do know it's almost ten, right?" He asks with a chuckle. "Bit late to start a new project, don't yah think?"
I prop a pillow against the armrest, stretching my legs out to rest them across Agmos' lap. Now I've got a clear view of his face, and I'm able to subtly cuddle with him. Agmos places his left arms along the back of the couch, his right hand resting on my legs.
"It is never too late to start a new project." My voice is full of sass. "It is, however, too late to finish a new project. Big difference there, Skullboi."
I open a blank page, and start sketching in Procreate. My eyes dart back and forth from the device to Agmos' face. He watches me intently as I draw furiously.
"Yah purse your lips out when yah concentrate." Agmos chuckles. "Did yah know that?"
I pause my drawing, throwing up a middle finger at him. I hear his laugh as I resume my base sketch. The outline of the face is simple enough. It's the fine details that'll take real concentration later. Like the way his black ink around the eyes swirls out in a few spots. I have to make sure to get that just right.
"So," Agmos says. "What movie we watchin? Or is the movie just you drawing my spectacular profile?" His grin makes my stomach do summersaults again.
"Spectacular, huh?" I return the grin as I start moving the pen across the screen again. "You sure are confident in your good looks, aint cha?"
"That's not the only thing I'm confident about." He gives me a wink, just before I slam a pillow into his face with a laugh.
I lean back, readjusting the pillow behind my back. Staring at Agmos, I study his face. His hands. A thought occurs to me....
"Hey Agmos?" I ask, toying with the apple pencil.
"Hmm?" He responds lazily.
"When I tattooed you, was the ink actually entering your skin? Or....did you just slowly shift your skin color to match where my needles were?"
The blank look on his face gives me my answer. He stares at me for a moment, releasing a heavy sigh.
"Hawthor-" A pillow colliding with his face cuts him off.
"You complete ass, Agmos! You know how much ink I wasted on you!?" I roar with laughter, all irritation fading. "You are absolutely fucking ridiculous! Shapeshifting your skin while in my tattoo chair! Such a waste of my time, oh my god!"
"HEY NOW!" His laughter rings out in response. "At least I paid you for your time...and ink!"
Shaking my head, I shift myself to my knees. I swing my left leg over his lap, straddling him. His eyes grow wide as I wrap my arms around his neck, tangling my fingers in his hair. A low purr rolls from his throat at my touch. I plant a swift kiss on his lips, then lean over and grab my iPad again.
"I can draw you much better from this angle." I whisper with a smirk as I begin sketching again.
~~~
*PING*
I look up from my iPad to find Agmos checking his phone. He looks at me, contemplation on his face, then back to his phone.
"Everything okay?" I ask, my sketch coming to a halt. "Is it Ink?"
He nods, sighing. "Are yah busy tomorrow?"
I cock my head to the side. "Hmmm... Not that I know of outside of my clients at the shop. Why?"
"Bittie is begging to meet you."
His comment momentarily catches me off guard. So far, Agmos is the only Demon I've met in person.... Not counting Charlie. Bittie has been asking to meet me for months, but we have never managed to coordinate a decent time for it. Honestly, I have been curious to meet her for some time as well. From what Ink has told me, Bittie is fairly harmless until she needs to be otherwise. I've been reassured that, aside from Charlie, none of her Demons will do me any harm.
With a smile, I lean forward to press my lips upon Agmos'. This time, I allow the kiss to linger. Our lips move in sync, tongues dancing. Agmos grips my hips with his hands, while mine drop the iPad on the couch and find their way into his hair. Too soon, I pull back breathing hard.
"I look forward to finally meeting her." I whisper softly as our lips meet again.
