*yawn* I stretched to get rid of the lethargy still left in my muscles. I slid over to get out of bed but somehow caught my foot on one of the blankets hanging over the edge of my bed and falling straight onto my butt.

"Ow!" I yelled in pain, rubbing my rear. What a way to start the morning.

I was still half asleep so when I tried to get up, I was staggering all over the place. I reached my bed and stuck my phone out from under my pillow to check the time.

I turned my phone on. It was so bright that I had to squint and rub my eyes and blink a bit to adjust my vision. Why the heck is my phone screen so bright?

I checked the time and it was 8:15 AM. I rubbed my eyes again trying to focus on the bright phone screen as my eyes didn't want to open.

8:15?!

WAIT! I AM GOING TO BE LATE FOR CLASS! Class starts at 8:30 AM and it takes me 30 minutes to get to school. I started to internally scream and realized that didn't help me in any way.

I ran into my closet by accident and hit my face into the door. Ow ow ow is ow! What's with me hurting myself today. I rub my nose trying to make the pain fade away. That hurt. My nose is going to bother me for the rest of the day now. *sigh* Come on T-T

I quickly opened my closet and grabbed the closest shirt and pants I could find. I quickly threw on my clothes and realized I put my socks on upside down. Ahhhh! Whatever, I don't care anymore.

I grabbed my backpack and ran down the stairs like a maniac almost slipping on the last step. I ran to my fridge and quickly grabbed an apple and put my shoes on to run for my life to school. I pushed my door open and quickly locked it.

I sprinted to the elevator and pushed the down button. With the speed of a sloth, the doors opened. I hopped inside and hit the ground floor button and then repeatedly pressed the 'close doors' button. Come on, come on! That seemed like one of the longest elevator rides I had ever experienced. Once I got to the main floor I ran outside trying not to trip over my own feet. I started to run so fast that I felt like if I stopped I would die of exhaustion and wouldn't be able to run anymore.

As I kept on running like someone was trying to kill me, I somehow arrived at school in 20 min. I was drenched in sweat and was so tired that I felt like I was about to collapse.

Once I got into the school I staggered toward my classroom (much like a drunk person would) and knocked on the door of my English class. My teacher opened the door and looked at me, surprised.

"Why are you late? You usually aren't late to class. Did something happen?" He said with concern.

"I accidentally woke up late today. That's all" I said, feeling embarrassed as the eyes of my peers burned into me. I looked back at them and saw judgement and disgust on their faces as they whispered to one another.

"I'll let you go just this once since you're usually never late for your classes"

"Thank you, sir," I peeped, half audibly.

The teacher finally returned to the front of the class. I stepped in and scanned the classroom to see if any free spots weren't beside Cole. I was already having a bad enough day, I didn't need him to make it worse.

I quickly realized that all the desks had been taken except one, of course. It so happened that that seat was right next to Cole.

He stared at me with a beaming smile and waved at me, gesturing to me to sit beside him. I had no other choice. If I were bolder, I would push someone out of their spot and sit there myself. But alas, I am not. So being stuck with Cole it is. Such a pain! I sighed and grudgingly dragged my feet down the aisle.

I was surprised no one took the seat beside him. Doesn't everyone love him? Not like I care anyway. I pulled out the chair and plopped down in my seat, placing my backpack to the side of my feet.

"Okay, everyone! Let's continue the class!" My teacher shouted.

I pulled a notebook and a pen out as I got ready to write notes. I felt exhausted and it's not even nine o'clock yet. All I wanted to do was rest on my bed and read or play games.

As I settled into my seat I peeked at Cole who was sitting to my right. He caught my gaze and gave me a dazzling smile so bright that I thought I'd go blind. Thankfully I had my sunglasses so I put them on to shade my eyes. Just kidding. I didn't do that.

I briskly looked away and acted as if I never saw him. He is so weird. Why does he always smile at me like that? And I thought I was the weird one.
