The limo pulled up in front of the mansion I frowned confused as I saw my car parked in its usual spot.

"Mom had one of the guards drive It back, so you wouldn't have to." Elenyi explained. I nodded getting out of the car.

My throat tightened. I was going to have to say goodbye to Elenyi I was leaving at dawn I had no idea when I would see her again. Turning around I took a step back in surprise when I saw Elenyi get out of the car close the door behind her and the limo drive off.

"What-"

"I'm going with you."

"Elenyi I can't allow you-"

She raised her hand cutting me off. "Last time I checked I didn't need you to allow me to do anything and second, you are my closest friend Lys there is no way I'm going to let you go alone." she handed me the roll of parchment that I had accidentally left on the seat lifted up the skirt of her dress so she wouldn't step on it and with a determined look on her face walked right pass me up the stairs and into the mansion.

For the first time all night I felt relief. I was going to have someone I knew and loved on the trip with me, someone who was basically me my sibling. It would be like taking a piece of home with me. I followed her up the stairs and into the mansion closing the door behind me.

"Alexandrine, you didn't tell me you were going to bring a guest back with you, if you had I would've fixed up something to eat." Allana scolded as she walked over to us. "Don't tell me you went out without jackets it's almost winter it's freezing out there!" she felt my arm and shook her head disapprovingly. "Just like I thought freezing, come on off to the kitchen so I can fix you two some tea." She looked at Elenyi. "I assume you're spending the night?"

Elenyi nodded "Yes m'am."

We walked into the kitchen behind Allana who quickly went to warm up the kettle.

"Elenyi I didn't expect to see you here, of course it is lovely to see you again. How is your mother doing?" Grandma asked from the corner of the room sitting at the small table near the window a chalice of wine in her hand. Her hair pinned up again.

"My mother's doing great Lady Eos, it's lovely to see you as well." Elenyi smiled I saw her give me a look out of the corner of my eyes and I knew what it meant, are you going to tell her that we're leaving in the morning?

"You both look beautiful in your dresses. It's only 10pm though I didn't expect you back so soon." her eyes drifted to the roll of sealed parchment in my hand. "What's that?"

I looked down at the parchment in my hand and searched for the right words to tell grandma that I was leaving in the morning and possibly might not make it back. My eyes started stinging again and my throat tightened.

"Elenyi why don't you help me get mugs from the dining room?"

I watched out of the corner of my eye as Elenyi and Allana left the room.

"Alexandrine?" Grandma asked and I looked up at her, she immediately straightened up in her seat and put down her chalice. "What's wrong?"

"I- I have to leave." I sniffed using the heel of my palm to wipe away my tears.

"What are you talking about?"

"Hera found out about the clinic, t-that I worked there she has over a hundred accounts written on parchment of me working there, she's using it as leverage." I tried to take in a deep breath to calm myself down but was unable to "She's looking for her and Zeus's grandson, she wants me to find him. She's sending a sorcerer with me and we're leaving at dawn." I sobbed. "If I don't go, she'll have all of us killed." "I don't wanna go. I don't wanna leave home, I might not come back." "I'm sorry."
