The school was huge. I mean HUGE. Like Gigantic Huge. It was beautiful, and somehow exotic. It looked like a castle, literrally. It's beautiful design drew me to it. It was... pefect.

"Welcome to St. Helena High School." the tall girl stood beside me and gazed at it. "By the way," she held out her hand. "My name's Katy. Katy Marell." Her grasp was hard as I shook hers. "The girl you almost hit." She smiled at her comment.

"Yeah sorry about that." I wasn't gonna take the whole blame. "But you gotta admit, you were in the middle of the road." I walked after when she began to move. She laughed.

"Well lets just say I saw something very interesting..." I could tell she wanted to say more, "such as a little puddle." My laughter rang out.

"Now that I think about it. It's actually really funny." I said. Shocking myself and her. "I mean you got distracted by a puddle and I was so busy trying not to hit the tunnel walls that I wasn't even paying attenton to the road." This time she laughed with me. The bell rang.

"Shoot! I dont even know where my classes are." I told her. I half dived into my car to get my bag and the map of the school. I opened the bag and found a marker. I pulled out my class schedule. I began to mark my route through the school on the map.

"Dude seriously. I'm right here and I could totally help." I looked up at Katy who was looking over my shoulder right now.

"I barely know you." I countered as I kept marking the paper.

"Okay, Suit yourself. By the way. We only have five minutes before class starts." She started to walk off. I glanced behind me as she walke away. Nope, I had this. I could totally find my way.......... I sighed.

"Okay, okay, okay. Hold on." I ran after her. "Okay. From now on your my only friend."

"But I barely know you." She mocked me. She placed her hand on her chest and widened her eyes.

I bumped her shoulder. "Shut up.

"Okay. I feel bad. For you. Really." She looked up at me from my schedule then back down at it. I sighed. "Seriously, like all the classes you've been enrolled in all have to do with, like, atleast some talent." She looked at me. "Do you even have talent?"

"Ha. Ha. Ha." I gave a sarcastic laugh. I yanked the paper out of her hands and folded it. There was no point in folding it since I just shoved it into my bag. She grinned at me.

"Fine, but don't ask me for help if you don't." She lifted her chin and walked faster. Her legs carried her away and I had to run to catch up.

"Slow down!" Man she gets angry easy.

"No." She sped up. I groaned and gave up.

"Katy! Wait!" I complained, tossing my arms into the air. "I can't do this without your help!" I ran again. "What if I get lost, or if I get kidnapped, or if I fall and break my neck, or if I have to go to detention. I won't know where to go." She stopped and turned to look at me. I noticed we were inside now. The halls we long and they were lined on both sides by blue lockers. The granite floor looked really shiny and the walls were painted with. The stairs to my left were rimmed with a gold and silverish glitter. As well as the chandilier on the ceiling. The thing looked like it was made completely of diamonds. "Were in a castle." I suddenly felt self concious. I didn't belong in a place this nice. This place was like for kids who go to private schools. "Should we be here?" Katy laughed.

"It's fine. If you registered here then your totally okay to be here." She waved me over to her side and she led my down the elegant hall. Oh jeez. This place was amazing. We turned the corner and walked into a wide office. A plump and small woman sat behind the desk. Her grey hair was in a bun and her glasses looked like the kind old librarians would wear. She looked up and gave a very wide smile. It looked kind of creepy.

"Oh, hello dears. How may I help you." even her voice was creepy. It was rasp and high pitched at the same time. Like the doll on Annabeth. Where it says: "I like your dolls." I took a couple steps back and Katy smiled at me.

"Oh come on. Sapphire, Mrs. Turbain is the sweetest woman on earth." The woman seemed to glow with the compliment. Katy shot a glance at her and then continued. "When she's not angry." She turned to the woman. "Sorry." Mrs. Turbain had eflated but she only nodded.

"It's alright. I know I can be a beast at times. Although I don't mean it. It just comes popping out, you know?" She piled some folders that were on her desk into her arms and stood to walk to the cabinet behnd her. Katy stared intently at the folders.

"New subs?" Katy asked. She leaned over the counter to get a better look.

"Yep. Got them last week." The woman stuffed them into a safe like corner of the cabinet and closed the door. "Anyways, what do you gilries need." I cringed at the word girlies.

"We'e late for class and I was wondering if we could get passes." Katy began to tap on the keypad. Mrs. Turbain smacked her hand away and pulled a little notepad-lie object from her desk. She tugged out a pen from one of the cups and started to jot words down.

"Got an excuse?" she looked up at us. Katy and I glanced at each other.

"We were being idiots so no." Katy made a face that said she wasn't proud of it and wouldn't talk. Mrs. Turbain looked at me but I was already forming a plan in my head.

"We were on our way here but it started to rain and so we had to pull over because I couldn't see anything." I smiled. They stared at me for a second.

"She's good." Mrs. Turbain wrote down my words and Katy looked at me. She gave me a lazy thumbs up and I laughed. A crashing came from down the hall and both Katy and I spun to see it. A boy came dashing in. He stopped when he saw us. Another older man came in after him. He crashed into the boy on accident. They both had to catch themselves before they fell. Mrs. Turbain sighedheavily behind me. Katy started to chuckle.

"What have you done now, Paris?" Mrs. Turbain walked around the corner to the boy. The man chasing after Paris seemed to smile in victory.

"Mom, I just needed to get my textbook but he wouldn't let me leave the room and I-" She grabbed his ear and tugged on it.

"What have I taught you about manners?" The man chuckled and stood taller. Mrs. Turbain tuged on his ear. "And you, Eric, you've ony started teaching for a week and still you pick on your brother. What is the matter with the both of you?" She pulled them out of the room and down the end of the hall. Muttering rude comments about them as she went. I looked at Katy who held our pases. She shrugged and said, "Happens most of the time."  I rolled my eyes.
