~song of the chapter: Pumpin Blood- NONONO~

In that moment, Blaire felt her pale cheeks flush red and her face heat up. She hated being called by her last name. Fred knew how she felt about it as she had called him out on it a million times but he continued to tease her with it nevertheless. What a melt.

And even if she would never admit it, in some weird way she couldn't put into words, she liked it. His raspy, deep voice had a special effect on her. She swore she could have felt something flatter inside of her stomach.

She hugged him back deeply and smiled from cheek to cheek as she let go. Fred was never the first one to let go of a hug, no matter how long. That was something she absolutely adored about him and it was one of the small things she noticed that distinguished him from his brother.
"I've missed you too, Freddie", she whispered as she got on her tiptoes to reach his ear. She knew he hated being called that.

Fred gave her a playful shove, his eyes focused on hers, and Blaire felt a spark between them which she knew he felt too. If George wouldn't have decided to clear his throat, defusing the tension and snapping the two out of their situation, she swore she could've gotten lost in his eyes.

His beautiful brown eyes, who were rich like dark chocolate, but at the same time so dark that they became inky. They were full of depths she couldn't begin to fathom, and in that moment, they were only looking at her.

She quickly realized what had just happened. What was she thinking? That was her best friends brother! She couldn't possibly see him in that way, Ron would be furious. And besides, he wasn't one to settle down, as he loved adventure and risks.

This would never work, she told herself.

She had grappled with her feelings for Fred for what felt like eternity. Two years had gone by without anyone finding out how she truly felt about that tall, handsome ginger boy. And as long as she hid it well enough, nobody would.
As she looked in Fred's direction again, his glance was set on the floor, almost as if he felt caught by his brother in something that didn't even happen. But Blaire felt it too. The confused look of George as he saw the two staring at each other for a split second too long. The way too obvious cough. She wondered if he was going to say anything.

But what could he say? Nothing, she couldn't stress it enough, happened between them.

"So, Fred and I were planning a grande welcome back to school prank, you in, B?", George asked excitedly, almost if the awkward situation never happened.
"George, stop it, she doesn't need to get involved in this. It's strictly against the rules and I know our little Blaire here has never done anything illegal in her whole life." , the twin teased.

As soon as those words left Fred's mouth, she was fuming. She knew exactly what this was.
It was a challenge.
"Cmon, B, now you've got to prove him wrong", George chuckled.
A wide smirk spread on Fred's face as he watched her face go from annoyed to cocky.

"I'm in. But I swear, if you two get me into any kind of trouble, you'll be dead.", the girl answered.

The boys couldn't believe it. They high-fived and were overjoyed because of her decision. It seemed like they've been waiting for this moment their whole lives, smiling devishly from eye to eye and making triumphal noises.
"What a bunch of idiots you are", Blaire smiled coyly. "Hey, that's not a nice way to talk about your new partners in crime", George laughed, putting his arm on her shoulders "We'll conquer magical parts of the school you have never seen before, make you feel mischief you've never felt before and annoy Professor Snape like no one ever did before", Fred intervened while putting his arm on her other shoulder.
