~song of the chapter: jealous-eyedress~
This chapter dedicated to Evelin.
I love dreaming with you. <3The setting sun tinted the sky into an intense assortment of orange, yellow and pink colors. It was almost starting to hit the water on the lake, which Blaire felt like added to the beauty of the scene. It was looking truly marvelous and deep down, she wished she could be here with Fred.
As the two of them made their way back to the castle, Cedric seemed lost in his thoughts.
"Is everything okay, Cedric?"
He looked up at her. "Yes, everything is fine. And please, call me Ced."~~~~~~~~
"Thank you for tonight. It was lovely, Blaire."
He was standing in front of her, surveying every inch of her face. "It really was, Ced."She smiled up at him and he returned the smile. He slightly bent his head down and planted a soft kiss on Blaire's cheek.
She looked away and couldn't help but feel a wave of guilt crashing in.
His lips were soft on her skin and his warm breath on her skin made her tingle.
He slowly pulled away, looking utterly satisfied."Good night."
"Good night, Ced."
She watched him turn around and disappear into another corridor before entering the common room."How was it?", Luna asked as soon as she stepped into the room.
"It was fine. He liked the dress!", Blaire chuckled
"Because he likes yellow. I told you!"
This girl was going to be the death of her.
After settling in, the two friends drifted off to sleep peacefully.~~~~~~~~
In the next few weeks, the relationship between Blaire and Cedric grew stronger. Although she still had a bad feeling about Fred, she decided to push her thoughts away and focused on the happy memories she made with Cedric.
They hadn't kissed.
They hadn't fought.Blaire was enjoying to spend time with him as he was a smooth talker and managed to make her feel better about everything. Once, she almost told him about her parents, but decided their relationship wasn't at that point where you'd share personal stories yet.
He was polite and even got along with Luna, who promised to not tell anyone about them.Blaire had managed to put most of her thoughts about Fred aside and kept the twins on a distance. Occasionally, she would sit with them at lunch, talking about their newest prank ideas. George acted indifferent, as if nothing had ever happened between them but Fred seemed to think otherwise.
He would shoot her apologetic glares and try to get her alone with the excuse of wanting to talk to her about Quidditch, but she knew better than to accept his offer. It was obvious that he wanted something from her and she wasn't sure what to think of it. She had feared that Fred found out about her and Cedric and wanted to talk to her about it. But then again, how would he know?
Ron and Blaire still hadn't made up. It pained her to see her best friend slip away from her because of such a small argument but was too proud to apologize.
Harry and Hermione, with whom she occasionally had classes, weren't as close to her as before either, the three always being together.
Harry as well as Cedric were preoccupied with the tasks of the Triwizarding tournament and put all of their thoughts into it. Regularly, Cedric would show up at her dorm in the nighttime, dark bags under his eyes which were nurtured by the lack of sleep he had.
He would wish her a good night and give her a kiss on the cheek.Blaire knew he wanted more.
But she wasn't sure she felt the same."Good night, Blaire."
The only thing she could do was smile weakly at Cedric, who was eager to receive a response.
"Good night, Ced."
She turned around, heart racing, before stepping away from him.
