Bailey's POV
I woke up with a pounding headache. I got really drunk last night, and I don't remember a thing. Up until me going to the bar, after that it's a little hazy. I threw back the blanket, and made my way into the bathroom. I threw up, everything. It hurt, but I didn't have anyone to call. Jonah and Frank were on the way out of town by now. I decided I should probably eat, after brushing my teeth, and went into the kitchen, only to find a shirtless, tan, muscular man. Nice work, drunk me. He turned around and it was Chase. Not so nice work, drunk me.
"Mornin, sunshine."
"No." I mumbled, I didn't want to question why he was here, but he was here. That's all that matters right now. Chase engulfed me into a hug, shielding me from the blinding sunlight. He pulled me close to his body, and I wrapped my arms around his neck. This hug felt right.
"How did you get here?" I asked him.
"Well...I saw Ryan's route, and even though I wasn't gonna come this way, I had to. Ryan shouldn't have stopped here."
"I told him next time keep going."
"I know. You were very uh....expressive with your emotions last night." Chase's face turned a tiny bit pink, something I've never seen before.
"Chase. What's going on with you?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Well....after you telling me everything that's happened the past few days, Frank's birthday, working long hours, Ryan, you not being able to find a boyfriend, and then you telling me you wish you would have picked me, then you kissed me-"
"I kissed you?!"
"Uh...yeah." Chase's face turned pink again. So there is something between me and him. My face was bright red.
"I'm so sorry."
"Bailey, you were drunk out of your mind. You don't have to apologize."
"I made a complete fool out of myself-"
"Bailey, it wasn't that bad." Chase smiles.
"I haven't kissed anyone since..."
"Well...your a pretty damn good kisser." Chase scratches the back of his neck.
"Really?"
"Yep." Chase blushes slightly, as did I. "I uh...made you breakfast." He says, handing me a plate.
"Out of what? I barely have any food."
"I went to the store. I remembered most of your favorite foods." He shrugs. The fact that Chase paid more attention to me than Ryan did says a lot.
"Thanks." I said, sitting down on the couch. Chase sat down next to me and we ate in silence.
"Hows ya feelin? You uh...threw up this mornin."
"Better now that I have food in my system." I said, handing him my plate as he stood up. I actually wanted to say, 'better now that your here' but that would make things 10x more awkward.
"Good. Good."
"Where are you headed?" I asked him.
"Bristol. Then we're back to Charlotte."
"Hows xfinity going?"
"I'm uh...actually were in Cup now."
"Congratulations!" I smiled, hugging him.
"You called it. I got into cup before Ryan did."
"That secret stays between us." I smirked.
"Of course." Chase smiles at me.
