It had to have been a few hours that had passed because Amélie came in through the door, set her belongings down, and removed her shoes all before noticing the two men laying together on the couch in the lounge. They appeared to be asleep considering the fact that they had gone undisturbed and made no sudden movements to greet her.
The woman noticed that Anthony was wearing clothes that certainly belonged to her son due to the size of them.

Tilting her head with a smile, she quietly started making her way up to her bedroom to change before starting on dinner. She didn't want to pull the two from their sweet slumber, especially since it was Anthony's last day and this was going to be his final chance to have something like this for quite some time.

It was sometime later as Amélie had started making dinner, the warm and comforting smell drifting through the house, that Alastor felt himself start to wake. The weight on top of him was familiar, and so was the scent. Heavy eyes slowly opening, Alastor smiled as he awoke to see his lover still laying above him.

Taking a moment to admire the blonde, it was at the sound of humming coming from the kitchen, paired with the realization at the scent of the food, that Alastor realized his mother was home. He'd slept quite a while then.

Anthony remained asleep, this was evident because he would give a very small and quiet snore every few breaths and he was drooling a fair bit as well.
The naps they would take together, whether intentional or not, were always something Anthony was happy to accept. He loved the warm body he would fall asleep with and wake up to.

A few more short minutes passed in which Alastor was able to wake up properly. Anthony still very much asleep above him was an adorable sight indeed, however, Alastor was very reluctant to wake the blonde. He looked so peaceful, and he didn't want to take that away from him. But at the same time, he wanted to check up on his mother and say hello.

Out of pure coincidence, Amélie came through to check on the two while she waited for something to cook. Smiling, she entered the lounge and about to grab a throw blanket to put over the two men but stopped when she noticed Alastor was already awake.
"Oh, good morning."
She whispered with a small chuckle.

Alastor tilted his head to see his mother a bit better, however stayed laying down as he watched her come into the room.
"Morning? Why I hope I haven't slept that long."
He chuckled softly, knowing that it was almost dark outside now.
"If it were morning, Anthony here would have missed the train."

"No, it's still Monday."
She confirmed with a nod, her voice still very soft.
"Would it really be such a horrible thing if he did miss his train though?"
She asked as she grabbed the blanket she meant to before and held it in a way that gestured as an offer for her to lay it over them.

Alastor nodded in regards to the blanket; thanking his mother as she spoke about the train. And to be completely honest, Alastor hadn't been expecting that.
"I- well, no of course not, but I know that despite how reluctant Anthony is to return home, his work and family are unfortunately awaiting him."
He replied quietly with something of a sad tone as he gently observed his lover's sleeping face.

Amélie unfolded the blanket and carefully draped it over the two men.
"It's quite complicated, isn't it. You know that you could always go to him too. I certainly wouldn't stop you if you knew that's what you absolutely wanted."

Alastor again was quite surprised by his mother's words. Of course, he knew that her suggestion unfortunately wasn't at all possible either. There were many things that Amélie didn't know about Anthony's life back in New York after all.
"Mama, I appreciate the suggestion, but I don't think that would be possible. As much as I would love to visit him in New York one day, there are many complications to that."
