"George! Over here!" The voice was a cheery, excited one. A tall blond whipped around, trying to find the source of the voice. Finally spotting the owner of the voice, he grinned and headed over to the table. Dodging a waitress with a tray that must have weighed as much as her, George reached out for a bro-handslap-greeting.
"Simon! How are ya?!" The tan man looked up at him with a grin, "Better, now that you finally decided to show up, you lanky boy" The two men laughed as George settled in. They immediately started to chatter happily, trying to catch up on all the lost time.
Simon and George had been good friends all throughout high school, but after they graduated, they had fallen out. And by random chance, they had ran into each other at a concert, unfortunately they had both been way too hammered to have a proper conversation, so all they managed to do was exchange numbers. The next day, neither of them had remembered the other until they checked their contacts. And now, they found themselves at The Diner, which, while being a confusing name, was a very fitting one.
"-yeah so me and alcohol aren't the best of friends" Simon finished his convoluted story about he had ended up in the hospital after his very first time out drinking. George snorted, rolling his eyes, "I'm honestly surprised that you're even alive right now," Simon blushed and chuckled sheepishly, "anyway, we should probably order something to eat before they kick us out." Simon nodded and they both looked over the menu.
"Hello, gentlemen, is there anything I can get you?", a soft voice rang out.
Simon nodded, still looking at the menu. "Yeah, I'll have a large cheeseburger, medium fries, and-uhm," the reason for his sudden pause was the fact that he had looked up at the waiter, "and, um, a-a large coke please." Simon blushed as the waiter nodded with a smile on his face, "And how about you?" George stared at the waiter in the eye as he started listing his order off, "Large cheeseburger, a large order of wedge fries, and a chocolate milkshake, and if you could get me extra ketchup I'd be grateful, cutie." The waiter blushed and stuttered out a confirmation before hurrying off. George chuckled as he watched him leave. Simon was still blushing, trying to memorize the waiter's blushing face. He had fluffy, messy light brown hair, amber-like eyes, and soft looking, pale skin. George's eyes flicked over to Simon, observing him closely, a light smirk on his face. Simon finally noticed that he was being watched, blushing, he glared at the smug blond.
"Stop looking at me like that..." he mumbled. George chuckled and looked away, chin in hand, "I didn't know you leaned that way, is all." Simon's face exploded red, and anyone watching him could swear they saw his black hair fluff up defensively, "I-I no- that's not-t-that's not-" he stopped, and sighed, hanging his head, "haaaah, yeah...was it that obvious?" George grinned, tilting his head, "Well, apart from the fact that you basically choked when you saw him, I just so happen to have a good instinct with those things." Simon looked at him, curiosity sparkling in his pretty brown eyes. George just smiled and leaned back against his seat, "Go on, man, just ask." Simon nodded, embarrassed, "Uh, are you gay?" George's smile became a grin as he stared at Simon in the eyes, "Close. I'm bi." Simon nodded, the only thing coming out of his mouth was a soft 'oh'.
The two young men fell into silence, George seemed comfortable, all while Simon was trying (and failing) to be subtle while looking over the blond in front of him. Simon started going over everything he knew about George.
Simon POV:
I've never seen him dating a guy, then again, it's been a while since I've seen him. Damn, why is it that i'm only noticing how hot he is until now? He's taller than me, that's for sure. Lean, but I bet that he has some muscle under his shirt, he was a swimmer back in high school, right?. He's pale, and his skin looks so smooth. His hair is also amazing, I mean, that little pony tail is super attractive... And his hands are sexy as fu-
"I have a large cheeseburger, chocolate milkshake, and a coke over here, right?" The soft voice snapped me out of my thoughts (that were drifting to the gutter) Looking away from George, I looked up at the familiar waiter. I nodded, leaning back to let him place the burger in front of me. "I'll be right back with the rest, thanks for your patience." He said as he placed the milkshake in front of George. I stared at him as I nodded, my eyes flicking down to his chest.
Kai. That's a nice name...
I watched as he turned around and disappeared into the kitchen. He was really pretty, with long lashes fluttering above his amber eyes. I could feel my face getting hot and I quickly started gulping my Coke down, trying to cool down. I heard George chuckle, which only made me feel more flustered.
"Here ya go! I have both of your fries, and your cheeseburger," Kai smiled as he placed the food down, he was about to turn to leave when he stopped and turned to George, "I haven't forgotten your extra ketchup, by the way, give me a sec..." George beamed at Kai, watching him as he approached the counter. I was surprised to see such an expression on his face. Sure, Kai was super cute, but for both him and I to have fallen for the waiter so quickly was impressive. I looked over at Kai, he was bent over the counter, reaching behind it to grab what I assume were ketchup packets or something. And call me a pervert, but my eyes immediately flew to his ass. I gulped, my face and neck getting hot. Kai was wearing simple jeans, but there was no denying that his behind filled his pants up very nicely. I looked away, gluing my eyes to my burger.
Once he came back and handed the ketchup to George, I couldn't bring myself to look at him. George thanked him smoothly and began eating. I sighed and also began eating.
"Do you want me to ask for his number for you?" I nearly choked on my burger. Coughing violently, I drank from my coke desperately. George smiled apologetically, handing me a couple of napkins. When I finally caught my breath I looked up at his blue eyes and managed to sputter out an answer,"I...No thanks," George sighed but conceded, "But what you could do is come come back here with me later." I had a crush on Kai, there was no denying that, but I also suspected that George did as well. George grinned and nodded, and so we set up a time to come back some time next week.
3rd Person POV:
Once Simon and George finished eating and paid, they got up and proceeded to get ready to leave. George was happy at the fact that he would get to see Simon and the pretty waiter again. And Simon felt a fluttering nervousness at the idea of getting to see both George and Kai again.
"See ya next week, Simon. Don't be late!" George yelled as he walked away waving back at the ravenette.
Simon grinned, "Ha!You're the one that's always late!" he yelled back.
Simon heard the a faint chuckle emitting from George's retreating form as he too turned and walked away. Both men made their way home that afternoon, thoughts of each other and a certain brunette whirling through their head.
