A Day After Chapter 16*

Elizabeth's POV*

Erina, Takumi, Soma, and I were sitting at a table in some mansion with Rindo sitting with us while we were having breakfast.

Erina asked, "Can you tell us anything about the third exam for the rebels? I would hope it involves a fair and just match. There'd better not be any cowardly tactics like there have been thus far.".

Rindo said, "Well, yeah. That was all what the examiners chose to do. We don't play dirty.".

I smirked and asked, "So who's seat am I taking first? Not Erina since she surrendered her Council Seat to me, but whoever Ninth Seat is which if memory serves is Eizan.".

Rindo said, "Eizan isn't ninth seat anymore.".

I hummed and Rindo smirked and said, "Eizan is Seventh Seat now. You'll have to face the new Ninth Seat.".

I asked, "And who would that be?".

Rindo said, "Your opponent's over there.".

We all looked back from our seats and saw Akira.

Rindo said, "One of the newest members of The Council Of Ten, Akira Hayama, Ninth Seat.".

I stood up from my seat like everyone else.

Everyone was silent.

Soma said, "Hey, Akira. You have a weird badge on your blazer. You sure you didn't grab someone else's by mistake?".

I said, "No, Soma. He grabbed exactly what he wanted to grab, for the sake of his home and for the sake of Jun. I get it yet it's still so sad to see happen. To that end, he's become Ninth Seat on The Council of Ten for Central.".

Rindo said, "Ninth Seat on a provisional basis.".

Akira said, "That's how it is, you two. We're no longer on the same playing field. I'm in a position where I can test you.".

I chuckled a little and said, "You get promoted to Ninth Seat and you start acting all high and mighty, don't make me laugh. If you remember correctly Akira, I promised I was gonna take all the Council's Seats right out from under them, that means your next.".

Some goons came over and said Erina's Exam Hall was elsewhere.

They grabbed her and I said, "Take your hands off the lady or you'll be losing them.".

They took their hands off of her and Rindo said, "This is necessary. Since your apart of the first-year class, you'll be taking the same exam as the other students, Erina.".

Rindo started pushing Takumi and Soma saying their exam hall was that way.

It eventually left me and Akira facing off.

Akira said, "Come at me, Elizabeth. It's time for the test that determines whether you leave or stay at Totsuki!".

I said, "I came looking for you and Jun. Aunty Katarina and I were gonna offer you housing in case your place was demolished in the survivor's hunt. But I never saw you, I guess you made a deal with good old Azami. Guess I get two things out of this bout. One being the Ninth Seat, and the other one being that I get to knock some sense into you.".

Akira said, "So you accept my challenge then?".

I said, "I'm game if you are, Akira. But what about the topic, and what're the rules gonna be? We'll need a judge, too, to confirm me wiping the floor with you.".
