A tall man with long black hair and a metal arm leaned up against a pillar outside the Avengers compound. He was throwing his knife into the dirt over and over, looking despondent.
"You know you can come in." Said a man perched on the wall.
The man with the metal arm smirked.
"You're gonna break a hip one day old man." He laughed
The man on the wall was Clint Barton also known as Hawkeye.
"Barnes, aren't you like 100 years old?" Clint teased back.
"And still built like I'm 27." He said "can you say the same?"
"Didn't have a metal arm at 27." Steve Rogers said as the gate opened.
Steve looked tired and his face was red.
"Feeling okay super soldier?" Bucky asked
"Yes it's just...today's a bad day. You know that."
Bucky's smile faded.
"Yeah." He said quietly.
Clint raised an eyebrow.
"Am I missing something?" He asked
"Today's my sister's birthday." Steve said before turning and walking back to the building.
"Alison was a nurse during World War 2." Bucky explained "She disappeared the same day I did. I read about it when I was looking for information on what happened to me."
Clint nodded.
"It's cold out here." He said "Lets go inside.
He hopped off the wall.
"I wish I could forget her." Bucky thought

August 1942:
"Alison! Slow down." Sergeant James Barnes yelled.
He was laughing at the pretty blonde girl that was pulling him towards the river.
"Look there." She said, pointing to the water.
"What." He laughed leaning over the rail.
"What do you see?" She asked
"Dirty River water?" He laughed.
"Look closer." She said.
She wrapped her arms around him.
"I see a smart girl making a stupid mistake." He said quietly
"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked
"It means, your brother isn't a scrawny little kid anymore and would kick my ass if he saw you like this."
She rolled her eyes.
"James." She sighed "I'm 22. I'm not his kid sister anymore."
"Alison. Steve is extremely protective. You know this." Bucky said "And you are his kid sister. You'll be 90 years old and still be his kid sister."
She sighed.
"You'll never get it through your head will you?" She asked
"What?"
She'd confused him.
"I don't care how Steve sees me. But when will you stop seeing me as a kid?"
He started to speak.
"I have to get back to the base." She said, cutting him off.
She walked off. Her blonde ponytail bouncing behind her.
---------------
"So something interesting just came through." Fury said, looking at Bucky and Steve as they walked in.
"What?" Bucky asked
"A woman was just pulled from the ice near where Captain Rogers was found." He said "Blonde. Pretty. Looked to be wearing a nurse uniform. Any idea who that would be?"
Bucky stayed quiet.
"Alison." Steve said
"What?" Bucky asked "Why would she be in the ice?"
"She was on the plane." He mumbled
"What?" Bucky asked
"Ally was on the plane when I crashed." He said, not meeting. Bucky's eye
"Who's Allison?" Peter asked
"Alison Rogers." Bucky said
"My younger sister."
"Yeah. That's what she was. Just your sister." Bucky thought.
