Morgan sits at a desk in the common room after the quiditch match, he was alone since word traveled so fast and everyone knew about his outburst in the locker room, and writes a letter to his mother:

Hey mom… I know I haven’t written to you in over a week but nothing exciting or different has really happened until today. Today was the quiditch final between Slytherin and Gryffindor. Gryffindor ended up winning when Harry caught the snitch but that isn’t what I’m righting to tell you. I’m ashamed of what my own team and house did to try and assure victory even though we have an amazing team the rest of the house thought it was necessary to make up a song to distract poor Ron and make him nervous so that it would be easier to score, now I do admit that Ron is not the greatest keeper on the planet but he’s not horrible at it either, and I swear I had no idea about something this cruel. Mom the part that hurts me the most is that Draco was singing along with them. Ron is my friend and I thought Draco was as well but now I’m not so sure. Mom you know how I feel about Draco and I’ve confided in you so you know better than anyone else, besides Hermione and Carley who figured it out for themselves but you’re the only one I’ve actually told, I don’t know what I’m gonna do mom… I’ve never been in this much pain because of someone’s actions before and I don’t know what to do… I can’t figure out if I feel like this because I’m angry or sad or some weird combination of both… I don’t expect you to get to write me back because I know Lucius works you long hours. But if it’s at all possible I really need to hear from you. I think that’s all for now I look forward to seeing you during Christmas break.

Morgan sets his quill down when his eyes start to blur with confused tears and quickly scrubs away the tears before putting his short letter in an envelope and heads to the owlery choosing a strong looking great gray owl, Malfoy Manner was a good ways away from Hogwarts, and gives the owl a mouse to eat while he rolls the letter up and straps it to the owls leg telling him “This needs to go to Mary Winchester. She works at Malfoy Manner. Go on I know she’ll give you a mouse or two when you get there.” The owl hoots softly before flying off toward Malfoy Manner.

Mary gets the letter from her son the next morning while she’s working in the garden and feeds the owl two mice before sending him back to Hogwarts. She takes a break to read it frowning worriedly as she reads mumbling to herself “Oh my poor baby…” Dobby, who happens to be helping her looks up at her concerned “Is something wrong Ms. Winchester?” Mary nods “Yes. Morgan is having a very hard time at school right now.” Mary quietly reads the letter to the houself and by the end of the letter tears are brimming in the corners of the small creature’s large eyes “Poor Mr. Winchester… if Dobby was allowed to leave the Manner he would go comfort Mr. Winchester.” Mary smiles hugging the elf “I know Dobby. And I appreciate that. But neither of us can leave the manner right now so we will just have to hope and pray that things get better for him.” Dobby sniffles and nods and the two go back to their work before they’re caught and punished for not doing their work.
