(OK GUYS! IM SUPPPOSED TO BE DOING HOMEWORK BUT I WROTE THIS INSTEAD. I WILL GO DO IT NOW. PLEASE DON’T YELL AT ME FOR THE THING.)

Morgan has been at Malfoy Manner for almost a week. There was only one day left until school started and the poor boy wasn’t sure he was going to make it. Everyday had either been a repeat of the first one or worse as far as how Lucius and Draco treated him and Narcissa basically ignored him, but she was nice when she did talk to him or ask him to do something. Morgan lays on his bed with his face buried in the pillows trying to survive just one more day when he hears a rather loud POP beside his bed and peeks up at where the noise came from stuttering like he always does when he’s upset “D…Dobby?” Dobby nods and sits on the bed beside Morgan gently patting his back “Dobby is sorry that the Masters have been calling Mr. Winchester bad names and send you away to your room when you have done nothing wrong.” Morgan sniffles a small chuckle escaping him as he hugs the tiny creature tightly, but not enough to hurt him, and Dobby smiles wrapping his tiny arms around Morgan’s neck like a child and hugging him saying cheerfully “Do not worry Mr. Winchester. Just today then you leave for Hogwarts. And today is already half over.” Morgan smiles wiping his eyes “You’re right Dobby. I’ve survived a week here what’s a couple more hours?” Dobby nods smiling looking happy that he could help the young wizard “That is right Mr. Winchester. You take a nap and Dobby will do your chores. You need your rest for school tomorrow. Dobby or Mrs. Winchester will come get you when dinner is ready.” Morgan smiles “Thank you Dobby.” Dobby smiles scampering out of the room and shutting the door as Morgan covers up with his blankets and falls asleep.

*Dinner Time*

Morgan doesn’t wake up until his mom comes upstairs and starts shaking his shoulder “Morgan? Morgan it’s time for dinner.” Morgan groans as he sits up “Already?” Mary smiles and nods “Yes. Now get up and get downstairs.” Mary leaves to go downstairs and Morgan gets up straightening his slightly wrinkled clothes and hurries downstairs quickly sitting in his spot at the table, next to Draco and across from Mary, Lucius and Narcissa were already seated but before the food could be served they had to wait five minutes for Draco to show up and when he finally does show up the food is served and everyone eats in silence. Morgan looks around out of the corner of his eyes thinking sadly to himself ‘these dinners are nothing like they used to be… they used to be bright and happy and everyone laughed and told jokes…. Now they’re dark and gloomy… I’m so glad I’m leaving tomorrow… I just hope mother will be ok here without me…’ Morgan comes out of his private thoughts as Lucius Malfoy starts to speak “Draco. Why were you late to dinner?” Draco swallows licking his lips before answering “I am sorry for being late father. I was reading a book and got caught up in it. Dobby reminded my like he was supposed to.” Lucius nods “I see. So the house elf did his job but you couldn’t be bothered to come down and spend time with your family?” Draco licks his lips nervously again “Father I’m sorry. Time got away from me.” Lucius’s mouth forms a thin hard line that Morgan does not like the look of “Time got away from you hmm?” Lucius stands up grabbing his cane “Well make sure it doesn’t get away from you again!” Lucius raises his cane to strike Draco the other teenager closing his eyes in preparation for the hit and Morgan moves without thinking leaping in front of Draco and the stone end of the cane pounds into his ribs a sharp crack resounding through the dining room as it breaks one of his ribs and he falls to the floor gasping in pain as everyone in the room stares in shock. Draco flinches hearing the hit but looks confused when he doesn’t feel any pain and slowly opens his eyes to see Lucius angrily kicking Morgan who is curled up in a ball in the floor protecting his head and ribs Draco’s eyes widen and he looks at his mother pleading with his eyes for her to help. Narcissa’s mouth forms a thin hard line and she stands up the normally calm woman looking scary when she’s mad “Lucius Malfoy! Stop this instant! You will not take out your anger on our child in front of me! Let alone another woman’s child!” Narcissa looks at Mary “Mary you take Draco and Morgan upstairs. I need to talk to my husband alone.” Mary nods quickly she and Draco carrying Morgan, who is now unconscious, up to his room. Draco looks at Morgan and mumbles “You bloody git… you didn’t need to do that. You owe me nothing.” Mary looks up at Draco for a second before looking back down to treat Morgan’s wounds carefully healing him with spells and potions giving him one to make him sleep until tomorrow morning before looking back up at Draco “Draco. I know your family is my employer but I helped raise you as much as your parents so you listen to me.” Draco swallows and nods “Alright Mary. What is it?” Mary stands up gently putting a hand on Draco’s shoulder her expression saddening as the boy flinches from the small contact, “Draco. I can see that in the five years we have been gone your fathers rage has gotten worse. And I am sorry for that I truly am. But my son did not protect you tonight because he owed you anything. He protected you because he remembers his old friend and sees how much has changed for you these past years and wants to try and help in any way he can.” Mary stops talking refraining from telling Draco about her sons feelings for him deciding it is Morgan’s place to tell the other teenager and watches as Draco stares at her in shock processing what she said for a moment before swallowing and licking his lips again “Alright Mary. I will think about everything you said. See you in the morning.” Mary sits down in a chair beside Morgan’s bed to watch him overnight and watches as Draco leaves hoping she said the right thing to the boy.
