"One chance Saj. P-please.. 'Yan lang ang hiling ko,"
"Damn this." He hissed. "I'm tired Scar, let's just get this over with."
"Saj.. Let's go back from the start. Please," Tumulo ang luha ko. "Aayusin ko na ang mga pagkakamali ko."
"Don't you pity yourself?!" His eyebrows furrowed. "What happened to the prideful, Scarlette Fuentes?"
"S-saj.. please?" I tried to grab his hand but as soon as I did, he quickly shoved it away.
"Seron, you know I love you. Ikaw ang kaligayahan ko, e-"
"Have you ever considered my happiness, Scar?" Tiningnan niya ako ng masama.
"Kasi ako?" He pointed at himself, "Hindi na ako masaya, e."
Umiling ako. "Hindi ko kaya, please.."
"Damn it! Para kang maze, e. Why is it so hard to get out of this relationship?!" Napahilamos siya sa kanyang mukha. "It's so tiring! This is so tiring!"
Tiningnan niya ako sa mata, nagmamakaawa na tigilan ko na siya.
"I'm so fed up.. I want us over, please. This is all too much! It's suffocating me!"
Napanganga ako. Tangina? Ang sakit! Paano niya nakayang sabihin 'yon? Ganoon ba talaga ang nararamdaman niya sa akin? nakakasakal? nakakapagod?
He muttered a curse and started to walk away.
I wiped the tear that slipped as I tried to keep up with him. Hinawakan ko ang kanyang braso and pulled my last card.
"Hindi ba sapat ang pagmamahal mo sa 'kin para manatili ka?''
He stopped walking.
"H-hindi ba ako sapat?" I stuttered.
"No," he paused and stared at me indifferently. "I never loved you anyway."
W-what?
My grip loosened as he started to walk away from me, away from my life.
Napaluhod ako sa realisasyon na unti-unting namumuo sa aking isipan.
