"Woah woah wait, what happened?" You asked, scrambling away from the men in front of you.
The red head spoke up first. "Well you see buddy, bun-bun over here-" "William." The rabbit man corrected. "-whatever, was ordered to find a pure soul to free us after we all died a tragic death from the hands of our dorm leaders." He explained, crossing his arms. "We're ghosts, but we can't move on to the land of the dead. We're trapped."
"Okay, that was.....more then I was asking for." You scooted away from the four, eying them warily. "But how exactly am I supposed to free you guys?" You asked, now standing up. Everyone remained silent, and William shuffled a bit in place.
The blue haired boy spoke up. "You-uh.....you'll need to marry one of us."
Silence.
Then screeching.
"EXCUSE ME, WHAT?!" You snapped, anger glaring within you. William screeched and flew-floated? You weren't sure, either way he ran. "Pardon me Y/n but please calm down! We have quite the predicament here and you are needed-" you didn't care what the crow had to say, you cut him off. "And why me?! Why lure me here? Why am I specifically needed instead of LITERALLY anyone else?!" You asked, crossing your arms while visibly pissed.
"Because you're the purest soul we could find." The redhead interrupted. "Look to make a long story short, we made a deal with the witch of thorns. She told us the only way we will move on is to marry a pure soul. One of us will need to come to love them, and gain their love in return. Cheesy as hell I know, but we're all out of options." He rolled his eyes.
"We tried with people we knew were pure souls like Kalim and William, but they never loved their partners in return." The blue haired boy explained. "We'll take care of you, and we'll give you time, but please. Like Ace said, we're all out of options."
William flinched at the mention of him, and mumbled something too quiet for you to make out, but you decided that wasn't important just yet. The tall man with the mask nodded. "Don't worry we have plenty of lovely housing options for you, and we can always steal-I mean buy! Food from the nearby town on the island to feed you." He explained.
'What a bunch of freeloaders.' You thought, but with a sigh you nodded. "Alright fine. Let's go, it's not like I'm going home anytime soon."
Despite your obvious disappointment, the four decided to ignore it. "Trappola, Spade, since William was the one to bring her here, she'll live in the Heartslabyul Dorm. At least, for now. Please make sure to uh-kindly explain to Rosehearts what happened, and that there will be a meeting later to discuss her living situation." The headmaster explained. The pair nodded, but it was William who grabbed you by the wrist to lead the way.
He turned back to look at you, sympathy clear in his large chocolate eyes. You could tell by his face alone this definitely wasn't going to be easy for you. But who knows, maybe you'll make it out of here.
