Magnolia:

I slipped onto the boy's floor trying not to make a sound as I did so. I had watched Ivy and Caspian (finally) not so secretly make their way out of the building and I had no doubt that Matteo and India were enjoying every moment of time they had together. It was my turn for fun.

I nervously played with my sleeves before I knocked gently on Rowen's door. Not a second passed before he opened it. Not fully- but just enough for me to get a glimpse of him shirtless and breathless.

"Hi," I smiled at him and cocked my head to the side.

He smirked down at me before pulling me inside his room in one swift motion. "Hello love," he said softly.

I huffed and rolled my eyes overdramatically, "Why do you always have to do that?"

"Do what?" he said, cocking a brow and smirking even more.

"Ya know, pull me into your room so quickly?"

"Maybe I am just too excited for what is to come," he said into my ear.

I laughed and shoved him off of me playfully. I tried to refocus on what my mission being here was supposed to be. Right. The tattoo.

My eyes searched his body in the dim light of the dorm, looking for those words inked into his side that had made my heart stop just earlier. As soon as I saw them, I reached out and let my hands graze the skin where they were placed.

"Do you know what it says," he said gruffly.

"Chained to your song," I whispered.

I saw him nodd out of the corner of my eye, "Do you know what that means?"

I looked up at his green eyes, "Of course silly, ya know I wrote it. It means... It means," I stubbled, not sure what to say to explain it. I simply motioned with my finger to the two of us, "It means this."

I could feel his lean down, and I knew he was going to kiss me before he did. It was passionate and all encompassing. I felt a shiver travel up and down my spine.

He pulled away too quickly, and smirked at me as I frowned as soon as his lips left mine.

"You're just too cute to kiss," He said teasingly.

I frowned, and slapped him gently on the shoulder, "stop bein' ugly."

He burst into laughter and I stood there in confusion.

"What?"

"Magnolia, I love you, but your accent is too perfect."

I glared at him, "What are you talking about? I don't have an accent. If I do, I have the flattest most boring accent ever. If anyone has an accent it's you!" I pointed an accusing finger at him.

I was genuinely upset about him saying I had an accent. I mean sure I said y'all and barely said any "g" at the end of any -ing word, but that doesn't mean I have an accent.

"Yes you do! No one says half the things you say," Rowen insisted. He smiled and tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear as I pouted.

"Name one thing!"

"Goodness gracious! I don't know what I'm goin' to do with myself. God love em' but he doesn't know what he's talkin' about. All Y'all better listen to me, y'all are slower than molasses and dumber than a sack of rocks. Hold your horses, lord have mercy, bless your heart-" He mocked, attempting to do a cartoon like southern accent.

"First of all," I cut him off, "everyone says all those things. Those are just normal sayings. You on the other hand- what the hell are trainers? It's tennis shoes for god's sake! And stop calling erasers rubbers! It sounds like you're talking about condoms!"

We continued on our back and forth, until we were both cuddled up onto his bed, both very defensive and accusatory.

By the way, I didn't have an accent. And I don't sound a bit like fucking reese witherspoon or whoever else has a fake tennessee accent. I sound boring and normal!

We stayed like this for a moment, before our conversation picked up again and we started to talk about our upcoming show. It would be our first concert with our album out, and it was less than a week away. The two of us started writing out the set list, while teasing each other about the cringey performances we- (well mostly me) have had since we got here.

What can I say? Sometimes you just gotta like your life like a movie.

At some point we put on a record on his record player. It was The Beatles Abbey Road and "Something" played softly.

As soon as we had it all planned out down to every single detail, I could help but ask, "When did you get the tattoo?"

"The night we got back here from recording the songs- everyone else spilt up and went to their rooms, but Cas and I went down and I got this one. He has plenty, but I had never gotten one before," He shrugged nonchalantly.

I looked up at him, and the way the light hit his dark curls and tanned skin. His green eyes looked soft, and almost seemed to glow in the dark. His hair had grown much longer since the first time I saw him, but I loved it.

He looked down at me and broke into a soft smile. He reached and ran his hands gently through my long hair. It now reached my lower back which was the longest it had ever been in my entire life.

"God, you're spellbinding," he said softly, and I couldn't help but blush and bite my lip to keep a giant smile from capturing all the features on my face.

His hand came down and gently cupped my face, his other hand was still tangled in my hair. His thumb pulled my bottom lip from between my teeth, and he stared at my face as if to memorize it.

He then bent down and captured me lips with his own. He caught me in his web, and I couldn't help but revel in his glory.

"I love you," I whispered, and we soaked in every moment of the night.

UGH they are so cute!

just wanted to clear some stuff up: Ivy is Matteo's half sister AND Caspian and Ivy have been flirting talking since Magnolia left town.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while! School is kicking my butt. AP Bio is a lot harder than I expected it to be and I'm ~stressed~ about college apps. Oh well.

COMMENT! VOTE! LOVE Y'ALL!

P.s. Tell me something about how school works where you live. I go to a super weird hyper liberal school in the south, so its just all sorts of wack

(no football team sadly... But I'm a cheerleader for the basketball team!)
