I pulled up outside Dynasty 8's office, grabbed the folder off the passenger seat and headed inside.

Phones were ringing as others typed away. I walked up to the first desk and asked to speak to the agent that had dealt with T's property.

The girl popped her gum, then called

"Carlson"

A guy strolled up to me and put on a fake smile,

"How can I help you Mr...."

"Michael"

I replied.

The guy frowned at me, then said,

"Townley?"

"How did you know that?"

I asked him.

His smile dropped as he ushered me into an office, closing the door behind us.

He sat at the desk and told me to sit. I sat at the desk and said,

"How did you know who I was?"

He pushed back his chair and unlocked a drawer. He took out a box and slid it across the table.

"Because of this"

I took the box and opened it. Inside was photos of me and T. The ones that only we knew about. There was also a small box tucked in the corner. I took it out and looked at Carlson.

"You wanna explain?"

Carlson sighed,

"Trevor Phillip's... he came to us asking about properties in the area. Said he was planning on making a better future. He paid the full amount and signed the papers"

"Wait, he signed the papers. The ones I got here aren't signed"

Carlson let out a small laugh,

"That must of been the ones that he lost. We had to get him another set"

That was T all over.

"Any way, we gave him the keys and he moved in. Here, we still got photos of the place"

Carlson handed me some photos and I took a look. It was a three bedroom property up in the hills of Los Santos. It had big sprawling gardens, a large sitting room... It really was a property for the future.

Carlson carried on,

"Trevor kept up the payments for a while, but after a while the payments became less and less. In the end we had to take the property back. He tried to pay me by throwing that little box at me. I refused as I could tell it meant something. He didn't like it and told me to go fuck myself. I took the box of photos out of the bin as the clean-up guys don't give a shit about personal property, me on the other hand, I could tell they had been important. So what happened to Trevor, if you don't mind me asking?"

I stood up, put the small box back in the photo box, then said,

"He's dead"

I saw Carlson lower his head, as I left, I said,

"Thanks"

He nodded.

Back in the car, I placed the box onto the passenger seat and took out the smaller box.

I slowly opened it and looked inside. I let out a gasp as a solid silver mans ring glinted back at me. My heart began to race as I realised what it was – what it had all meant. This ring was for me, the proof was engraved on the inside with the words,

M.T – My Heart – My Love – Always.

Trevor had been trying to make us a future while I ignored him and tried to make gold out of shit. I slid the ring onto my engagement finger. A flood of rage consumed me as I screamed out, smashing my hands down on the steering wheel, over and over again. Tears streamed down my face as I thought of the life that Me and Trevor could have had if I hadn't gone ahead with the deal. I couldn't take it anymore.

I sped off as fast as possible to the nearest bar. I didn't want to feel any more – I wanted to be with Trevor.
