A/N That photo is the cutest fucking thing! That's how I'm going to imagine Clarke's room from now on (minus the pictures of Lexa, for the time being) ;) Feel free to do the same. The "Reyes was here" is adorable. Picture found on Pinterest at - https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/393361348689865157/
Clarke and Lexa both climb into the back seat with their backpacks at their feet. After Abby reminds them to put their seatbelts on, and Lexa gives brief directions to get to her house, the daunting car ride begins. Maybe Clarke was over-exaggerating a bit but it was nerve-racking.
"How was your guy's day?" Abby asks calmly.
"Good, Mom. How was yours?" Clarke replies. The conversation slowly continues and multiple times Clarke sees Lexa's eyes flicker towards her. Clarke pretends not to notice but in reality, is really confused. Why is this attractive, smart, popular girl being so nice to me?
After around 10 minutes Lexa instructs Abby to pull up to a beautiful brick home. So this is where she lives; number 1337. Lexa grabs her bag and opens her door.
"Bye, Clarke. It was nice hanging out with you and your friends," she says, before thanking Abby for the ride and swiftly shutting the car door. Clarke exhales loudly without thinking. Abby instantly catches on.
"You like her don't you?"
"Mom," Clarke groans.
"She's a very lovely girl. Plays on the lacrosse team, right?"
"Yes."
Abby smiles back at her daughter in the rearview mirror and continues the drive home.

Clarke is on her bed reading when she gets a notification. It's from the person she least expected; Lexa.
Lexa: Hey thx again for letting me hang out with u guys
Clarke: Yeah ofc the more the merrier
Lexa: Oh i also wanted to ask you if you wanted to be partners for the English project?
English project? Crap! Clarke hadn't paid attention in English today so she totally missed this new assignment.
Clarke: umm tbh i wasn't paying attention in English today. What's the project?
Lexa: oh well we need to pick some poetry out of a list Ms Anya made and find the ✨deeper meaning✨
Clarke: haha yeah sure that sounds fun
Lexa: Really?
Clarke: Yeah i actually like poetry
Lexa: i do too
Clarke: ok great well i'll see you tmrw
Lexa: ok see ya
Clarke put her phone down in shock. Did that really just happen?
"Clarke, honey, I'm going out for dinner with a friend," Abby says, sticking her head through the doorway. This snaps Clarke out of her thoughts.
"Kane?" Clarke snaps.
"His name is Marcus, Clarke."
"Is it a date or something?!"
"Honey, calm down. I'm not sure."
"Ok, whatever," Clarke rolls to face the other way glaring at the wall. Reyes Was Here is written in black Sharpie below where Clarke's drawings hung. She fights back a smile, remembering the day that masterpiece of graffiti was added.
Marcus Kane. What was this man doing with her mother? How could she ever date a guy after dad? Clarke hated his guts without any real reason too. No, she had a reason. How could her mom move on so fast? Didn't she still miss her husband? Clarke hadn't even realized her mother left the room, she was too caught up in her thoughts.
After a while, Clarke got hungry and went downstairs to get something to eat. As expected her mom was gone. On the fridge was a note that read "I love you". Clarke rolls her eyes, pulls the note off the fridge, and drops it into the trash.
A/N Hey guys hope you liked it! I'll try my best to get chapters up faster in the future! <3
