Both mom and Hendery turned around after I step into the house. I closed the door then mom gave me that look of hers. An extremely irritating expression. "What's the matter?" I asked mom then sit on the dining chair beside Hendery who was eating.

"Decline them" She stated, impatiently and angrily. "Decline what?" I asked, confused and faced Hendery. "You did not just snitch" I quickly blurted out at him and he did nothing but continued showing me his confused face.

"The company called me. Reject them" She cut me off. I wouldn't have thought they would call us early but I was mad at how they didn't contact me but my mother. "What? No way" I quickly disapproved of whatever she just stated.

"You better get top five in the cohort or you have to do as I say. Simple and short" She gave the last response in detail before walking away from the dining table.

"You gotta work hard my man," Hendery said and chuckled. There's no extreme way I can get in fifth place. Even Hendery is smarter than me and has never reached the top five in any paper. I sighed, looking at my empty plate.

I've been looking forward to being a trainee but I can't. "I just gotta do what I have to do" I mumbled to myself and stood up. I grabbed my bag I placed it beside me and leave the dining table to my room.

I took out my textbooks and notebook and start studying. After a minute while, I just look up and started messing with my hair. Ugh, this is never it. Hendery entered my room and threw himself on my bed. "It's too late. Don't you think so?" I asked him, who was grabbing my guitar from my bed to play.

"It doesn't matter. You'll still be a pianist if you're not gonna be an idol" He laughed out loud, mocking me. Being a pianist was never something I would think of myself as. However, Mom and dad have been raising me to be one.

I gave him a long, annoying glare and he continued after a gulped. "Well, in my opinion... it's actually not that late to start studying from now. Just study the one you're most confident in. Then, maybe... afterward, you can start the others...?" He slowly said, while thinking.

"That's an amazing response. Thanks, I guess..." I replied and stared at my chemistry notes. It'll be a long time but I hope I can prove mom wrong. Hendery started playing a tune and I turned, distracted. He smiled and laughed so hard.

"Do it in the toilet" I thumbed up and he rolled his eyes. "Also. Mind me sneaking in your private lessons?" I voice whispered, not making it too loud and obvious for mom to hear from her room.

"I'm afraid... you can't do that but I'll send you their notes instead" He patted my shoulder and asked me to continue studying. "I'll see you tomorrow. Class starts early today" He faked wiped his tears and I waved goodbye, without seeing his face but my notes. The door then closed and I finally get to continue studying without any distractions.

9.38 pm

"Wake up and shower" I heard my mom's voice from behind me and I opened my eyes to realized I've been on my desk, sleeping for just now.

I probably slept while studying. She left the room and I tiredly took off the uniform that I've been wearing since I got home and went to the toilet to rinse my body. It's a tiring day but I still have to study after I eat dinner.

tomorrow

"Baby-ah!!!" I heard a voice I never remembered from behind me. I just thought it was a random student that I continued walking with stares around me. I suddenly felt hands around my waist and got surprised.

I turned only to realized it's my girlfriend I haven't been seeing for four months. I opened my arms wide for her and she threw herself on my embrace. She kissed my neck and look up, smiling at me.

"What's my name?" She suddenly asked and I knew so well I'm going to get whacked. "Of course I remember. My memory for the name has improved!" I tried avoiding her question. "Yeah... but what is it-"

"Harin? Is that you?" Someone cut her sentence and I heavily sigh and am relieved. Harin is her name, I remembered now. She suddenly slides her fingers into mine and clings onto my shoulder. "Yes, it is, Mihee" It's a classmate of ours who asked that earlier.

"Whoa! Yang yang literally wins at life" That person, Mihee said from afar, clapping his hands while Harin just giggled. We both have been dating since last year but honestly, my feelings are fading but I'm afraid to break her heart.

"Let's go," I said, and we walked through the hallway with our hands clenched. She wasn't in Seoul for a while to complete her dancing performance and dance exam. "Do you do well?" I asked and she smiled. "I got a distinction" I wasn't surprised since she's really that talented but I just showed her my proud face for her.

"Did you hang out with any girls?" She whispered and I smiled. "No. Why would I? Your boyfriend has been studying hard" I said. I will never tell anyone about me studying hard because of a particular reason. Mom will be the last person to know.

"My boyfriend's a real genius. He would do well for everything" She said while patting caressing my hand and while I looked at her long and straight hair that is always the first thing that would capture everyone's attention in the crowd.

"I hate how I have volleyball practice on the first day I got back in school. I have to go just to be on the school's team for the last time" She sassily said and I just stood there, thinking. Practically, thinking of nothing.

"Let's meet after our chemistry class. We go lunch together" since we both don't go to the same chemistry class, I said that to her while she walked towards her table that was filled with presents and flowers. She nods off and I went to my seat with Hendery sitting on my table while staring at her.

"Can't believe she's back" He whispered to me. No matter what, Hendery always hates her for her attitude and attention. I smirked and he sighed. "Sorry for hurting your feelings bro" Hendery stood up and jokingly said while patting my shoulder.

After chemistry class, I got so tired that I can't stand it anymore but to just close my eyes for a bit to rest. Chemistry was such a pain to my ass. I wanted to go back to the classroom but remembered how the sports hall won't be filled with people at lunch hour.

I straightforwardly went in the hall with my books and turned on the air conditioner then searched for a comfortable spot in the audience seats to lay myself on.
