Panicking

Ok so Frost had a panic attack in 6x07. After she had it she said she talked to Caitlin about it, but I was wondering what would happen if she talked to Cisco as well.

Frost was on the balcony of S.T.A.R. Labs when she heard someone come stand by next to her.

"Hey, you okay?" Cisco asked softly. "I know Caitlin talked to you about what happened, but I just wanted to make sure you were alright." He stated. Frost could hear the concern in his voice.

"I'm fine" she said quietly not meeting his eyes and continuing to stare at the city.

"What happened back there?" He said. "You don't have to answer that." He frantically added. He didn't want to push her. For a while they stood in comfortable silence. Just starring at the city.

"I don't know. I guess just seeing Barry on that bed I-" she sighs. "I don't know."

"It's okay, I understand" Cisco said gently. "You don't have to explain."

Frost scoffs, "How could you possibly understand?"

Cisco shrugged, "Personal experience, Caity helped me through a panic attack once." Frost pondered her thoughts for moment until she remembered what Cisco was talking about.

"Oh yeah, I remember." After a moment of silence she said, "I was there."

"I know, well not then, I didn't know then" Cisco clarified.

Frost couldn't help the small smile that spread across her face. Cisco always had a way of making everyone around him feel better.

"Caity's a good friend, you're lucky to have her" Frost said.

"I am" Cisco said smiling. "You're a good friend too ya know."

Frost shook her head. "How? Barry was dying and I couldn't do anything, I didn't do anything" she sighed. "I'm a terrible friend." She stated, her voice cracking only slightly.

"Hey you are not a terrible friend" he said putting a comforting hand on her shoulder. "You couldn't help it okay. You can't control these types of things. Trust me, I would know."

They stood in silence for a little longer until Frost asked "Who else knows, I know Caity knows because she helped you through one, but who else knows?"

"Well, Barry knows, and so does Joe, Kara, Felicity, and Dig. That's really it, they know because they've all helped me through at least one" Cisco responded. Frost just looks at him and then back at the city in deep though.

"They won't think any less of you" Cisco said.

"What?" She asked.

"I know what you're thinking, and they won't think any less of you. And if you still don't think so I can go get Barry and have him give you a whole speech about it like he did for me. In fact I could go get anybody who cares about you, and I'm 100% positive that none of them will think any less of you. And I don't either. You are still the same Frost today as you were a week ago, nothing could ever change how I feel about you. You're one of my best friends."

"I've never had a best friend besides Caitlin."

"Well, you have one now" Cisco said smiling sweetly at her.

Shaking her head she said, "I'm supposed to be strong. I mean, I'm Killer Frost! I'm not supposed to be scared, I'm-" she sighed. "I'm supposed to have everything under control. I'm supposed to- I should know what to do when someone's hurt, and I should be able to help them like Caity does, but I can't, I don't know how and I just feel worthless. I'm barely any help in the field, and I try, I try, to help when someone's hurt, but I just end up freaking out and making everything worse. For everyone" she paused. "What use am I, anywhere." When she stoped talking there were tears flowing freely down her face.

Cisco, who was listening to her the whole time, pulled her into a hug. "I am so sorry. I'm so sorry if we- if I made you think you were worthless. Because you're not. You are worth so much to this team, more than you could ever imagine. And you're not Caitlin, Frost. You are your own person. And anybody you loves could tell you the same thing" Cisco let go so he could look into Frost's eyes. "You are one of my best friends, I couldn't stand losing you, you're to important." Cisco pulls her back into the hug.

"I'm sorry" Frost says.

"Don't be" Cisco replies. "Now, let's go help Barry find Bloodwork."

Frost nodded at him smiling.

A genuine smile.
