"Happy Easter Sara"

Sara always loved Easter.

When she and Laurel were younger their parents would always hide Easter eggs around the house and make Laurel and Sara race to go find them. She remembered that their mom would say that if they found all of them she would give them cupcakes.

She gave them cupcakes even if they didn't find all of them.

She and Sara also used to paint eggs on Easter. Sara's eggs looked more like abstract art than an egg when she was done with it. But Laurel seemed to like them better anyway.

Laurel wished she was young again. She wished she was a child. She wished she could see her sister again, just one more time.

Just one more day.

Flashback

"Ready 3, 2, 1, go!"

Laurel and Sara ran off giggling.

"I found one!" Laurel yelled.

"I found two!" Sara laughed.

"Well don't stop there's still a lot more and you only have," their mom checked her watch, "4 minutes and 30 seconds left!"

"We know," Laurel and Sara said.

4 minutes and 30 seconds later

"And times up!" Their dad said. "Let's see how much you got." Their dad proceeded to count the eggs. "Well it looks like you found most of them, but ya missed one."

"I think that's on me" Laurel said showing the wrapper to her dad.

"Laurel, what did your mom say about eating the eggs before you found all of them?" He had a serious tone but he was smiling.

"To not do it."

"Exactly."

"Well sorry but I got hungry" Laurel smiled. Sara rolled her eyes at her but there was a smile on her face.

"Well that doesn't matter now because we got cupcakes!" Their mom said pulling cupcakes out of a plastic bag.

The sisters smiled and looked at their dad.

"Go get cupcakes" their dad laughed.

"Yes!" Sara and Laurel whispered.

Sara grabbed a chocolate cupcake with pink, blue, and purple frosting while Laurel grabbed a vanilla cupcake with red and yellow frosting.

"Now try not to eat all of them today!" Their mom said.

"Is that a challenge?" Sara whispered to Laurel.

"Sara no" Laurel said.

"Oh come on why not?"

"Because then you won't have any for tomorrow" Laurel stated.

"True" Sara admitted. She sighed, "What would I do without you Laurel?"

"Honestly? You'd probably be dead" she joked. "But, I would never let that happen."

"I know."

They smiled.

End Of Flashback

If only Laurel knew.

She set down a basket of small chocolate eggs on Sara's grave.

"Happy Easter Sara" Laurel gave a sad smile.

Well there you go something short and sweet for Easter. Honestly I didn't spend much time on this so it might be bad but anyway.

I might update sometime next week if I have time.
