Sorry the chapter is short y'all, the next chapter should be longer. Enjoy.
Jacob.
I was walking Naomi to her car after art club. She was a sweetheart, and today we were doing freestyle paintings. She painted the most beautiful picture of a lilly. I held it for her while she was getting into the car and put it in the backseat of her car.
"I'll see you tomorrow Jacob." she smiled at me, and before I closed her door, we looked into each other's eyes, then kissing. I know I have Samantha but, Naomi was beautiful, and she didn't have anything as far as I knew. If I was in a serious relationship with Samantha I would have ended up being with someone who contracted a chronic STD. And that STD is a constant reminder of how Samantha cheated on me.
She quickly pulled away and looked down. "I-I should go.." Her cheeks grew red and I bit my lip. "I'll see you later." She drove off, and I got into my car and drove myself home. I got into the house and put my keys down to see Chres and Aaliyah at the dining room table doing homework.
Aaliyah cut her eyes at me, "Jacob what the hell is your deal with that Naomi girl? You blew Samantha off today." Chres looked at me in agreeance to what Aaliyah was saying. "I didn't blow her off, it was just a change of plans. She was fine, right?"
"She was fine, but she was really upset. She thinks you're ashamed to have her as a girlfriend! You need to stop what you're doing to her before she gets frustrated and leaves you." Aaliyah looked at me, and I sighed. "Alright, I'll talk to her."
I went upstairs into my room and dropped my bag beside my bed. I laid in bed and grabbed my phone from my pocket. I called Samantha and sat down in bed. The phone rang and she finally picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hey, I just called to apologize for how I acted today, I didn't mean to come off like that ..."
Samantha.
I looked down and thought to myself, at least he was apologizing for what he did. "It's okay, baby... just don't do it again. I feel like you were hiding me from Naomi."
"No, baby... never. I'd never do that." I blushed. "Alright, I'll talk to you later, I have to study for my Psychology exam."
"Alright, I'll see you tomorrow. Love you."
"Love you too, bye."
I walked into school this morning and opened my locker doing my usual routine, nothing different from any usual day. My mom has been doing okay, but still in pretty bad condition. Today, the girls and I are supposed to be looking for prom dresses today after school.
Nearly 15 minutes went by and I wondered where Jacob was. I sat down at the bench waiting, and saw him come towards me, with Craig and Chres behind him. I smiled seeing him, and was ready to give him his daily hug and kiss. "Before you say anything, baby I want to ask you a question."
I wondered what he was going to ask me,I was a little confused. "Okay, what is it?" He smirked and Craig and Chres took the poster boards that were behind them.
"Baby, I love you ... I wanted to ask you, will you go to prom with me?" He smiled at me and I nodded. "Yes!" Everyone around us awed and clapped at us, while I kissed him and hugged him close.
I honestly thought Jacob and I just assumed we were going together since we were a couple. But I don't mind this at all. "Thank you for this, baby. Really."
"No problem. Anything for you."
Rayan.
I leaned against my locker, seeing the little scene that Jacob made for Samantha to ask her to prom. I felt jealousy start to come over me. No matter how much I wanted to deny it, I missed Samantha. I would do anything to get her back. I really wanted to find a way to get her away from Jacob, but I didn't know how.
Jacob and Samantha seemed inseparable. I'll find a way, it's just going to take some work.
Samantha.
Aaliyah, Janay and I walked into the dress shop excited to try on prom dresses. We walked in looking at the array of dresses on the racks, it was so overwhelming. All of the glitter, the trains and bright colored dresses.
"So did Jacob talk to you about that Naomi girl?" Aaliyah asked, trying to fit into a dress in her fitting room. "Yeah, he told me about her, he was all like 'Baby I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel that way' blah, blah, blah..." I sighed and came out of the fitting room to get one of them to help zip me up. "Can one of y'all zip me up?"
Aaliyah came out of her fitting room in a stunning, pastel pink dress. It complimented her curves and her yet petite shape. I turned around for her to zip me up, and I looked into the illuminated mirror behind me.
I smiled at the way the dress looked. It was a strapless mermaid dress, with fire red color. There was a long train behind the dress, and a deeply cut neckline to show off my cleavage. "Samantha that's gorgeous..."
Aaliyah and Janay both said in a soft unison. After nearly ten dresses I had tried on, this one had to be the best one. It was perfect.
"I have to get this one." I smiled and twirled in it.
Before I knew it, we all were at the register paying for our dresses. I couldn't wait for prom, this was going to be one of the best nights of my life, hopefully. Jacob and I both dreamed of us having the time of our lives together at prom.
"$700, please." I gave the cashier my debit card and smiled. She swiped my card and the three of us trailed out of the dress shop.
