TWO DAYS BEFORE SENIOR PROM
Samantha.
I was sitting in bed on my laptop, looking through colleges to apply for. I was really looking forward to college, but it scared me that I could end up being away from Jacob and the rest of my friends. I was going into nursing, and Jacob was going for an art degree and a minor in music.
I personally was excited to see where we'd end up going, but being far from him is still my biggest fear. I have dreamed of going to UCLA since I was a little girl, and it would be a blessing if I could get into their nursing program.
But of course I can't just apply to one school, I was looking at a bunch and applying for scholarships like a lunatic. Jacob planned on going damn near anywhere because of his major, but it worried me that he was so nonchalant about college. He thought that because he was going into art it was going to be easy to find a college, that worries me.
ONE DAY BEFORE SENIOR PROM
Aaliyah and I walked out of our last class of the day. The both of us were more than excited for tomorrow night, it was something we we had dreamed of. "I can't wait until tomorrow night, girl! It's gonna be perfect!" Aaliyah squealed as we walked out to the front of the school to meet with Chres and Prince.
We met up with the guys and drove back to their place to relax. I went upstairs in Jacob's room with him and sat on his bed with with. I looked around at Jacob's room, I had always loved it. It had pictures of his closest friends all over it, and a couple of band posters. His room had personality to it, and it made me feel comfortable.
He went into his closet to change into more comfortable clothes and came towards me. "You excited for tomorrow?" I laid back in the bed with him and nodded. "Mhm... I'm really excited." I grinned, and looked over at him.
"So babe, did you look at any other colleges?"
He shook his head, "No, not yet. I'm trying to stay local, ya know? I'm not really sure yet." I nodded and held his hand. "Okay, I started writing my application for UCLA and Berkeley."
"Oh, th-that's great!" He gave me a fake smile, I could see right through him. I pecked his lips and squeezed his hand softly. "Take your time with the applications, babe."
LATER THAT NIGHT
Jacob.
Samantha was really overpowering when it came to her and this college stuff. I don't really think she gets me. When I first told her I wanted to major in art, she looked at me as if I was too smart for it or something. I need a girl that can understand how I feel with my work. Yes, I'm a straight A student. No, I don't want to go to school and be a scientist or an engineer. Art was my calling, and Samantha seemed to be disappointed when I told her that.
I was laying back in bed watching TV in my room, and I heard my phone go off. I looked at it to see it was a FaceTime call from Naomi. I smiled and answered the call, laying back in bed. "Hey!" She exclaimed cutely to me. "Hey... what's up?" I ran my fingers through my soft curls and looked at her on the screen.
She had her hair out as usual, wearing nothing but a cami and maybe some boyshorts. I could see her breasts clearly through the camera, and damn was she sexy. She came closer to the camera and I saw her quaint nipple rings. She had her black square frames on, and they made her look nerdily sexy. Her freckles under her eyes made her look lovable and cute. She was adorable.
"Nothing really, was just going over my last bit of homework." She smiled. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing, just laying here. I was watching the Big Bang Theory." She grinned, "Oh my God I love that show!" I saw her grab her remote and look through the channels, before I knew it I heard her TV playing the show.
Although I really loved Samantha, Naomi seemed to understand me better and we had more in common. Naomi also painted and she modeled on the side. We loved the same music, she and I both loved the same foods, and she was more relatable. Plus, she didn't have as many issues as Samantha does.
"So what are you wearing to prom?" I asked her. "Um, I'm kind of trying to keep it a surprise for everyone. It's really nice though." She smiled and I nodded. "Alright, that's cool. Who you going with?" I smirked.
"Rayan." My jaw clenched hearing her say his name. "Oh, alright."
"I know you two don't get along ... do you mind me asking why?"
I sighed, and explained to her the whole situation. From when I met Samantha up until how Rayan and I are now. She looked shocked at the story. "So... Samantha cheated on you, and you went back with her?"
I nodded, uneasily. "Yes, I really love her, and she loved me. I gave her a second chance." I shrugged and she looked at me. "Oh... alright.... you deserve someone who'll be there for you, and you won't have to worry about infidelity, y'know?"
I nodded, "Yeah, I mean, that'd be nice. I love Sam though. She's a great girl."
I saw her shrug, and nod. "Yeah ... I guess." She fixed her glasses and yawned. "Jake, I know I'm the one that called you, but I'm getting a little sleepy. I'll see you tomorrow night?" I nodded in response. "Sure! I'll see you tomorrow. Have a good night." She smiled. "Thanks, night." She hung up, and I put my phone on the nightstand before plugging it in to charge. I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth, and then came back in bed closing my eyes and turning off the lamp light along with the tv.
Tomorrow night should be interesting. I honestly wonder why Naomi was so standoffish about Samantha, maybe she's jealous? I don't know, but it was kind of intriuging to me. I got lost in my thoughts, and sleep slowly crept up on me.
