"Who the fuck is playing my drums?" Brooks glared.
We had been sitting backstage in the green room. Some of the guys from Slipknot had stopped by. We were talking with Corey, Sid, and Jim. I was hoping Tatum would come back soon, because I was dying to introduce her to them. I know how much She loves this band.
"It's not the Berry's. They don't play that well." Matt muttered.
"Why are we just sitting here? Let's go look." Corey Taylor laughed.
All of us got up and walked towards the stage. My jaw fell open at what I was seeing. My girlfriend is pounding out the beat of For Whom the Bell Tolls by Metallica. Standing next to her is Jay Weinberg of Slipknot.
"Holy fucking shit!" Sid laughed.
"Did you know she could play?" Brooks asked me.
"Just guitar and she can sing." I said, not taking my eyes off of her.
"Yo. That your girl?" Sid asked me.
"Yeah." I said, unsure of what the hell he was going to say next.
"Nice. I'd totally hump her leg right about now." Sid told me.
Had anyone else on this planet just said that to me, I'd probably of kicked their ass. But this is Sid Wilson. No one ever has a normal conversation with him. All of us looked at him slightly confused.
"No, Sidney." Jim sighed.
Tatum finished playing and set the drumsticks down. Everyone was clapping and whistling. She looked up surprised and smiled at us. She jumped up and hugged Jay happily. I watched as both of them walked over to us. Tatum was slightly out of breath.
"Damn, girl! I'd totally-" Corey covered Sid's mouth.
"Thank God." Zack said at them.
"I see you met Jay." Matt laughed to Tatum.
"I did. We started talking about drums and he asked if I played. I said a little and he told me to show him. I asked if he was worried that I was better than him. He said yes." She grinned, all of us chuckling.
"Those are my drums, woman." Brooks grinned at her.
"I know. I love them too. Thanks." She smiled at a laughing Brooks.
We spent some time talking and laughing about everything. I had my arms around Tatum while She was standing in front of me. After a while, I found myself tuning everyone out.
My thoughts kept going to the woman in front of me, and my conversation with Zack a while back. Would she say yes if I asked her to marry me? I would probably die if she said no. How awkward would it be for us if she said no? Do I do this or not? I mean, she would most likely say yes, right?
Jason Berry came jogging up about then. He sighed, glaring at Tatum. Oh shit. He has probably been looking for Tatum.
"Oh good. There you are." Jason glared at Tatum.
"Go get laid already." Tatum grumbled at him.
"You sassy ass little thing! Jesus! Come on. Say goodbye to boyfriend and your friends. Your chariot awaits, princess." Jason smirked at her.
"I'm a queen, you twat!" She grinned at him.
"You're not pushing the cart this time. You're an asshole about it." Tatum told him.
"You're an asshole about everything!" Jason exclaimed.
"Dude." I growled at him.
"Fucking hell! Fine. Come along, my queen." Jason rolled his eyes.
