"Come on, doll. It's your birthday." I grinned at her.
Tatum eyed me up suspiciously. She's been avoiding leaving the house today. I already know what she is nervous about too.
"Let's get something straight, Haner. No singing to me. No surprise birthday party. No fucking weird strippers or whatever dumb shit you men normally do for one another on someone's birthday." She glared.
"Fuck! Now I gotta call the strippers off? Damn, princess!" I grinned at her.
"Not kidding." She warned.
"Well, I'd like to think that I know you better than anyone, so I knew to not do any of that." I smiled.
"Where are we going then?" She asked.
"Where did I take you the first time we ever went anywhere together?" I grinned.
"The diner on the pier?" She asked excitedly.
"Yes. Now can we go?" I laughed.
"Yep." She smiled, kissing me quick.
Of all the places that make her happy in the great state of California, this diner is it for Tatum. Not a fancy restaurant, nope. Tatum loves the diner. In a way, it's a relief for me. She loves the simple things in life. I'm happy as long as she as happy with it.
We had dinner at the pier, then I took us down to the beach. We have our own spot that is near some large rocks, and is further down from where most people hang out at.
I sat holding her in front of me as the sun went down. I can't possibly think of anywhere else I'd want to be.
"I'm really glad you're not in the porn industry like I originally thought." She grinned up at me.
I laughed hard. I'd forgotten that she accused me and Matt of being in the porn industry when she first met us. Tatum giggled at me.
"Makes two of us." I smiled.
"So where is the first place we are stopping on tour?" She asked.
"Um, well, one you're not gonna be happy about I don't think." I sighed.
"Oh fucking hell! Vegas?" She groaned.
"Yeah. Sorry, babe." I said to her.
"I'm staying on the bus the whole time we are there." She muttered.
"Gonna be a long two days then." I chuckled.
"Better be a different hotel we are staying in." She said.
"Already checked. And yes, it is." I grinned at her.
"Good." She sighed.
"So, I want to show you something." I said to her.
"Keep it in your pants for fucksake. We are in public." She smiled at me.
"Do I really have to?" I smiled, watching her laugh.
"I'm playing. Come on." I said, helping her up.
I drove us to a neighborhood that isn't far from where we live now. There are only two houses on the entire street. I pulled up in front of the large blue house and parked.
"Where are we?" She asked.
"What do you think of this place?" I asked her.
"It's gigantic." She grinned at me.
"It's also secluded. There are five bedrooms and bathrooms. An inground pool and hot tub. Everything has been redone as of recently. And the back yard has more than a ton of room." I said.
