(This is a couple years after the war)

You loved spending time with your boyfriend's family, but it was the absolute best at Christmas time. The Weasley's went all out for decorating their house and you had fun putting some decorations up, yourself.

George and you were staying at the Burrow for the week leading up to Christmas, along with all the other Weasley children and their significant others.

It was a very full house.

One morning, you woke up and saw a note left for you saying that most of the household had gone shopping and didn't want to wake you, so they left you be. George, Fred, and Ginny were the only people home with you.

You headed downstairs to see them putting a huge gift under, or rather beside, the tree. It was as tall and almost as wide as the tree itself and your eyes widened at the sight of it.

"What is that?" you asked pointing at the gift.

"Well it's a Christmas present, obviously," said George, putting his hands on his hips.

"Well, I see that. Who's it for?" you asked walking closer to see whose name was on the tag. It was yours. From George. "George!" you cried, "What on earth is this?"

"I already answered that question, dear," he said with a smirk. "It's a Christmas present."

"It's the size of a refrigerator!" You we're looking up at the gift. "You didn't get me a refrigerator, did you," you asked turning your gaze the the man standing beside you. "Because the one we have at our flat works just fine!"

He chuckled and waved his hands in front of him. "Don't worry. It's not a refrigerator."

You looked up at the gift again, puzzled. What could it be? Why is it so big?

You turned around to face Fred and Ginny. They both had knowing looks on their faces.

"You guys know what it is!" you said pointing a finger at them.

"Yep!" They said in unison.

You put your finger down. "I'm not going to get you to tell me, though, am I."

"Nope!"

"You'll just have to wait until Christmas, dear," said George, putting his hands on your shoulders.

You groaned.

"You know I don't like surprises! Why couldn't you have waited to put it under the tree until, like, Christmas Eve or something!"

"Because then I wouldn't have the fun of watching you suffer!" he said jokingly.

You rolled your eyes and walked out of the living room and into the kitchen, smiling to yourself.

You were half excited, and half nervous to find out what the present was. Knowing George, it might be something that would just take up the already limited space you have at your shared flat, but you were curious about what it was and couldn't wait until Christmas.

As the week passed, you kept eyeing the big gift placed next to the tree, trying to figure out what it could be. George had caught you staring at it on multiple occasions and you could tell he was also excited for you to open his gift.

Finally, Christmas Day came. Everyone met downstairs as they started talking and telling stories of past Christmas's while eating Christmas cookies and chocolates.

Eventually, the time came to open the gifts that were under the tree. People started reaching under the tree to hand out the gifts they wanted their loved ones to open first. George hadn't said anything about the big gift yet, so you didn't bring it up. You didn't want to seem rude or impatient. But you knew that George knew how badly you wanted to open the gift.
