"All right! Everyone gather 'round!" Mrs. Weasley moved to the center of the living room with a hat in her hands. "It's time to draw for Secret Santa! This hat has everyone's name put in it, and whoever you draw, you get a gift for them. But don't tell anyone who it is." She held the hat out in front of you. "Why don't you go first, dear."

You smile excitedly and reach into the hat, closing your eyes as not to be able to see who you're picking. You grab a small piece of paper and pull it out. You open it to read the name.

Arthur.

You knew he liked muggle stuff, and being a muggle-born, about a thousand different things came to your mind right away.

Molly moves over to Fred, your best friend, who draws a name from the hat. He immediately looks up at you, realizes you were watching, and quickly looks away.

You smirked, realizing Fred had drawn your name. Which is perfect. Now you knew who to pester to get what you wanted for Christmas.

Everyone else drew names, then dispersed throughout the house, thinking of what they could get their person for Christmas. You made your way over to Fred who was in the kitchen looking at the name he had drawn. It looked like he had absolutely no idea what he would get as a gift, so you decided to give him hints.

"Hey Fred, how are you?" you asked him, getting a conversation going.

He snapped his head up and shoved his piece of paper into his pocket. "Oh, Y/N! I-I'm fine," he responded nervously. "How are you?"

You smiled sweetly, then pretended to shiver. "I'm pretty cold, actually," you said, wrapping your arms around yourself. "You know, there's this really nice scarf I saw at the small shop in Diagon Alley. It looked really warm. I bet that would be able to warm me up in minutes. It just annoys me that I'm always so cold."

Fred looks slightly confused as to why you would be telling him this. "Okay? I mean, how much does it cost? Can't you just buy it?"

You looked at him for a moment, wondering how he couldn't have gotten that. "Yeah you're right," you say eventually. "I guess I just want to wait until after Christmas, just incase someone, like from our Secret Santa, whoever drew my name, wanted to get it for me." You hoped that he would be able to pick up on that.

His eyes widened and his back straightened.

Yep, he got it.

But you wanted to push some more buttons to see what he would do. "Hey, speaking of Secret Santa," you said, leaning against the kitchen counter. "Who did you draw?"

He was silent for a moment. "We aren't supposed to tell people who we got."

"You're right, you're right. I was just wondering, cause I was kinda hoping for Ginny, I had a good gift idea for her, but I actually drew your dad, so I was just wondering who drew Ginny."

He looked uncomfortable as you looked at him. He knew you wanted him to tell you who he drew, but he just couldn't say.

And you were laughing on the inside about the fact that you knew why.

"Uhm- we're not supposed to say, so I'm not gonna say, sorry Y/N." He immediately left the kitchen and you smiled to yourself. It was quite fun toying with him in that way.

The day had come where you all would open presents from your Secret Santa's. You were quite excited to get that scarf you told Fred about. You knew he had gotten it because you went to the store the other day and it was gone. You had asked the clerk, and they had confirmed for you that it was indeed Fred who had bought it.

Arthur was opening his present. Though there were many things you had thought about getting him, you decided on getting him a toaster and a rubber duck. Two completely unrelated things, yes, you know. But you knew he would like them. He got very excited and showed it off to everyone. "Okay," he said. "Who was my Secret Santa?"

You smiled and raised your hand, making everyone look at you. "I hope you like it, Mr. Weasley."

"Like it? Y/N, I love it! Although, I don't actually know how to use a toaster."

You laughed and said, "Don't worry, Mr. Weasley, I'll teach you how."

"Y/N, dear, why don't you go ahead and open yours, now," said Molly.

You grinned and reached for your present. You tore off the paper to reveal... a large mug with fuzzy socks and various types of candy stuffed inside. You looked at your gift confused, then looked over at Fred.

He was smirking at you.

That can't be a good thing. Wait...

"Who... Who was my Secret Santa?" you asked, more confused than ever.

Ginny smiled and said, "Do you like it?"

What? But- Fred. You looked over at him, he was still smirking. It dawned on you. He never drew your name, but he wanted you to think he did. He pranked you into thinking you were getting exactly what you wanted, when you actually told the wrong person. But, what about him buying the scarf?

You put on a fake smile to mask your annoyance at Fred. "Yes, Ginny. I love fuzzy socks."

"Ginny, it's your turn, now," Molly said.

"Okay," she said, pulling off the paper on her own gift. She opened the box and gasped. She pulled out the beautiful scarf you had told Fred about.

Your jaw dropped.

"Oh, it's so pretty! I love it! Who got it?" she said, already wrapping it around her neck.

"I did."

You snapped your head towards Fred. He smiled at his sister. "I'm glad you like it." He looked over at you, enjoying how irritated you were.

After everyone else had opened their gifts, you made your way over to Fred.

"Y/N, why the face? It's the Christmas season, you should get in the spirit!"

"Why," you asked simply. "Why did you feel the need to play me like that. Making me think you drew my name is one thing, but giving the one thing I wanted for Christmas to someone else? That's low." Your arms were crossed over your chest. You weren't actually that mad. Annoyed, yes. But mad, not really.

He shrugged and said, "I thought it would be fun." He grinned. "It was."

You faked offense. "Oh! Is that so? Well then, I guess I'll just go put on my fuzzy socks, make some tea, and NOT share any of my candy with you," you said walking away.

Fred's face fell. "Wait, Y/N! I'm sorry! I'll do anything to make up for it! Y/N, please!"

A/N: It's not the best, but merry Christmas Eve, guys!!
