Elizabeth stared at the box in shock.
Beside her, Hawk steamed with anger.

Inside the box, was a piece of clothing.
A very, very, very, revealing piece of clothing.

Elizabeth picked up the item and widened her eyes the more she studied it. She had never seen something so...indecent.

There was a lacy top, adorned with flowers and curlicues of gold. The back was nothing but a string, and the front was but two strips of material that she knew would barely cover her assets. One wrong move and she would embarrass herself in front of the whole bar, although she didn't even think she would have the courage to wear it in front of everyone.

The bottoms were almost worse, comparable to Merlin's but instead in a bright shade of fuscia. They tied at the sides with string and looked to be made of a very skintight silk.

Elizabeth's face flamed with embarrassment. Why would Meliodas give her such a thing? What was even more puzzling was how distant he had seemed in the last days; this gift seemed so out of place.

She put the set back into the box and closed the lid. She knew that her old uniform was torn, but she would much rather wear that then what Meliodas got her. But there was the other part of her that wanted to show herself in the set. Who wanted to walk down the steps of the Boar Hat and watch as everyone in the bar's mouth dropped. Who wanted to see Meliodas look at her the same way he'd been looking at her all week-- like he wanted to devour her. Just thinking of it made her shudder.

"Elizabeth...you look a little pale." Hawk said from beside her. Elizabeth jumped. Lost in though, she had forgotten that Hawak was in the room.
She pat him on the head and smiled. "I'm ok. Although I am a little...suprised." She chuckled weakly. Something passed over Hawk's face so quickly, Elizabeth was sure she just imagined it. Shorty after, Hawk said "Well I'll leave you too it. I can already smell the scraps!" Hawk trotted out of the room and kicked the door behind him.

Elizabeth sighed and leaned back on her bed. It was going to be an interesting night.

                                                                                                                                                                              ...

The Boar Hat bustled with drunken excitement. Frail men with pink cheeks conversed over cards and drinks, smiling as if they never had before. The town had seemed abandoned when the Sins had first arrived, but the people slowly came out as they smelled roasted pork and the sound of music filtered through the sad town. Meliodas was still out, but the other sins were tending the bar, waiting food, and laughing merrily.

Elizabeth sat in her room, fiddling with her fingers. She had never been this nervous for something so trivial. Her head hurt; she had spent the last hour combing through her hair and twisting it around her fingers, braiding it and rebraiding it, and then starting the process over again. A nervous laugh bubbled out of her. If only her father could see her now. She could not imagine how he would react.

She stood, gripping her cloak. Underneath, she wore the clothes that Meliodas got her. After Hawk left, she had stared at herself in the mirror, wearing the clothes he got her. She had been told by Diane that she had a nice body, and seeing herself  in those clothes made her feel more confident about herself, even if it just was for a small moment. Afterwards, she almost started down the steps, but her nerves go the best of her. She had put on an old purple cloak and stayed in the room.

Now, her stomach tossed. She knew she would have to go down to the bar soon--her shift had already started a few minutes ago.

Steeling her nerves, she stood. She let the cloak fall down to her feet. Her hands balled in concentration, and she walked timidly down the hallway.

She took a step down the stairs, and then another. At the last step, the Boar Hat went silent.
She took the last step and walked into the view of everyone in the bar. It went as silent as crickets.

"Hello," She said.
