Stitches woke back up at camp. He was inside the healers den and Rain was at the doorway talking to Sunshine. Rain looked back and perked her ears before rushing Sunshine away. "Stitchez your alright!" She helped him up. "Wh-what's going on." Overcast and Riptide carried you back from the old camps! I can't believe you guys found them and they have been lost for centuries!" Stitchez just gave a small nod, walking out of the cave, "Wait, Stitchez - are you ok? Do you need and herbs or-" "Im fine" He interrupted. Rain nodded as he continued walking out. Ocean stood at the middle of the camp, wolves were scattering around. Those who ignored Stitchez committed themselves and being happy he was alright and blah blah. Stitchez marched to Ocean. "Stitchez your alright!" Ocean exclaimed. "Yeah yeah. Pipet is in more danger than before!" "Whose Pipet?" A voice behind Ocean asked. "Oh yeah." Ocean moved, revealing a wolf behind her. The wolf was pure black with very few white markings. She had pure white eyes, she was blind. "WHOS THIS?!?!?" Stitchez idemently growled. "Names Night Cloud, I'm the last moon wolf. I found Sunshine while you passed out." Stitchez stayed quietly and they could hear the mummers of the wolves greeting Sunshine as Sunshine padded into the den. Sunshine looked directly at Stitchez as he passed a small note to him that read: I found Pipet. Stitchez nodded and with that Sunshine left. Night Cloud cocked her head to the left side and said, "What's going on? Why was Sunshine in here just now?" Stitchez sighed, putting the note under his paw, "Nothing. Just gave me something then left. By the way how the hell did you find us?" Night Cloud shrugged, "I was wandering around the forest." Stitchez could hear her slightly question what she said but he didn't say anything. In the silence Stitchez heard the pawsteps he's been waiting for; X-rays light pawsteps. X-ray entered the den then muttered, "Oh y-you're b-busy." Stitchez looked at the two she-wolves before turning to his mate, "Well if they're done with me, then I'd like to hear where you've been." Without letting them say anything Stitchez walked out. X-Ray turned his head in the two's direction nervously before running after Stitchez.
Once in their den Stitchez turned to his mate and said, "Where have you been?" X-Ray turned his head down to his paws and said, "I-I was looking for you, Stitchez." Stitchez nodded and X-Ray rushed to add on, "No one like me here! That's why I was trying to find you! To tell you I-I might leave!" Stitchez gasped slightly and his eyes filled with hurt, "B-But what about u-us?" "Yo-you could come with me!" Stitchez stepped back.Rain began to pour outside once more. Stcihez looked outside as thunder poured over the forest with loud thuds of lighting. "Pipets nearby.." Stitches mumbled, stumbling out. "Stitchez! Stitchez wait-" Stichez shot a glare back at X-ray.X-ray moved his paw and adjusting his ears, trying to hear if Stichez had padded off, the rain drowned out the vibrations. "X-ray" Xray immediately jumped and let out a growl, "Woah! Easy" X-ray adjusted his position behind him. "Ri-Riptide..?" "Yeah? Why did you like try to attack me- uselay you know when someone near you.." "The rain" "the- not gonna question it. Ocean wants everyone to head to the hill with all this rain the lakes and rivers are flooding." X-ray let out a nod as riptide walked away. X-ray listened closely but knew Stichez was gone. X-ray adjusted his head toward a loud roar of thunder. "Pipet has caused terrible pain. I will save her" he mumbled marching towards where the sound had come from, and trying to avoid trees and rocks.
Rain stood at the top of lead rock, "alright let's go!" she called. Leaping down leading the wolves. Hearts stayed near Rain. "do you think the camp will really flood?" Rain shot a sad smile. "I doubt it. And I am the Rain" She puffed out her chest but Heart continued walking, not impressed, "Tough crowd" she mumbled. "This is not the time for joking" Riptide barked butting in."Screw you Riptide." Rain growled finally giving up on a positive attitude. Sunshine stepped in between them and barked, "Calm down this isn't a time for fighting." Rain projected her anger onto Sunshine and growled, "How would you know you've been alone for the past, what, four or five years!" Sunshine stopped as Rain trudged on in anger. Riptide looked at his brother who was soaked then followed Rain. Hearts looked at Riptide then asked hesitantly, "Why aren't you soaking?" Riptide looked down at the little pup, "Because i'm like Ocean. I control the waves so I can repale the rain." Rain muttered under her breath, "Show off." Hearts looked to be in thought as they said, "So why can't Sunshine just clear up the rain if he has to do with the....uh...sun." Riptide seemed to think about it for a moment, "It doesn't work tha-" Before he finished his sentence Sunshine tried to make a sun cloud over all of them but he could only make one over Hearts. Riptide glared and Sunshine who said, "Got to keep the pup warm. I can tell uhh....they? That's your gender right?" Hearts nodded, "I feel like going by she, her." Sunshine nodded, "well I can tell she's going to be a great asset to this pack so we can't risk her getting sick." Riptide looked at the two of them and got thrown into a flashback (that he would claim as a preview of a new book):
It was pouring rain as the two climbed up the hill. The older one of the two stopped in the middle of the hill and seemingly tried to concentrate. All of a sudden a small cloud of warmth and sun appeared over the younger. "S-Sunshine? What about you?" The younger of the two asked. Sunshine turned and smiled at his brother, "It's okay Riptide. You're more of an asset and you're younger we can't risk you getting sick." Riptide looked at his paws upset slightly. Sunshine's face seemed to be getting a pailer blue by the minute, which Riptide didn't like. Sunshine, to show he was alright, nuzzled Riptide's neck, "Don't worry we'll be home soon." Once they got to the top of the hill the flash back ended.
Riptide snapped out of it and saw his brother staring at him, consurne filling his eyes. Riptide walked on and muttered, "Really? You guys had to do this?" All of a sudden Riptide got a tree branch almost on top of him. He looked at the tree breathing hard, "V-Very m-mature." Sunshine started to nervously sweat before muttering, "W-We should catch-up." Ocean stared back at them, "Hurry move up towards the mountain of three!" she growled back at the slowly moving wolves. "Bu-but thats on Fire packs territory. We haven't spoken to them in generations!" Bad flower cried. "Look beneath you the river is already beginning to flood. We have no choice. Fire pack territory is among high ground, it is our only chance." Ocean snapped back tired. The wolves nodded and began to dash through the rain towards the mountain. "Riptide common!" Ocean ordered as the wolves rushed by her. Riptide looked back over the forest and camp before climbing back down and following her though the muddy forest. Heartz frantically dashed as to keep up with the others. She soon realized she was far behind. There were two minor cliffs ahead of them. The pack had already passed them and Ocean and Overcast were on the second cliff. Hearts beated her tiny wings to reach the top but she couldn't fly in such weather. "Ocean! Riptide!" she yipped for help. A loud roar grew closer. Hearts frantically whipped around. Her eyes widened in pure fear as a huge wave began swallowing the forest. Ocean stood among the higher ground. "We should move but the wave will not reach her I suppose I might be able to stop some of it." Ocean muttered. "Is everyone here?" She ordered. "Stichez gave a quick dart of a look. "Wheres X-ray!?" "Where hearts!" Rain spattered back. Ocean ears dropped. "No no no!" Stitchez climbed to the edge of the cliff Sunshine held him back before jumping."You can't leave that wave will kill you!" Sunshine barked. "IT WILL KILL MY MATE AND MY SISTER!" "You mean the one you let another wolf raise." Riptide growled. Stichez growled back. "HEARTZ IS MY FAMILY NO MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!" the load arguments drowned out Hearts screachs of help. As the wave echoed near, "WHY CAN YOU JUST POOF THE WATER OCEAN!" Stitchez growled. Ocean stepped back."That is an impossible amount for just me to- "poof" Stichez Im s-" "NO" Stichez cried falling to ground. "I - I might be able to help" Riptide walked closer to Ocean. "I need you to help me stop a little bit of this wave! There is no way you and I could PooOOOoOooOOoF A ENTIRE TITAL WAVE GIVE IT UP THEIR GONE-" Ocean interrupted herself. "I didn't ask to be an alpha, It's up to me! All your deaths come back to me! I'M TIRED OF HAVING TO BE YOUR BABYSITTER" Ocean growled at Stitchez. "Your sisters are gone whether it be death or not" Ocean flicked her tail as the pack fell silent. Riptide lowered his head and stood beside Ocean preparing to try stop the wave from impacting them. Hearts looked back at the raging Wave as it gulped more forest.
