you'd grown up with all the boys, you were extremely close with all of them. but you were especially close with tommy. you did everything together, you still do. you were almost like his partner in crime. but he did all the fighting and shooting and all that lot. only because he didn't want you to get hurt and he did everything he could to keep you safe.

after being very close with tommy for mostly all your life, about two years ago, you two started dating. he loved you with all his heart. although he never showed affection in public, he would always show it at home. you were in love with the man. so deeply in love.

however, as time went on he started to get particularly close to this girl that worked at the Garrison. he would always talk to her when he ordered a drink, he was flirting. at first, you thought nothing of it, maybe they were just friends. but then you started to see the look he gave her when they spoke. tommy slowly became more distant with you. so distant that as soon as he got home after a long working day, he'd go straight to sleep on the sofa. not even in your bed. you knew you were losing him, but you refused to talk to him about it because you knew he'd get angry. and when tommy shelby is angry, he's ANGRY.

you had a plan, you were just going to leave, just like that. just like he did. you were going to come home and just pack your bags and leave. you'd planned it all out, it was in your head and you were going to do it.  you had realised that you didn't love him anymore. he didn't love you either. so there was no point in staying.

you got in the taxi home. your breathing was heavy, your heart was beating rapidly. you felt bad, for just leaving him like that and not telling him anything.
you hoped and prayed he wasn't home so it would be so much easier to leave.

shit.

you saw his car and instantly you started to regret all your decisions. what if he stopped you and begged you to stay. you just had to say no. 'it's fine, you'll be fine. just pack and leave' you thought to yourself. you were so scared. you genuinely did love him more than anything.

you hopped out the taxi and passed the £5 note to the driver. you inhaled a deep breath and when you exhaled, you could hear the shaking in your voice.

you quickly checked the house, just to check he if he was definitely home. but you couldn't find him anywhere. 'i swear to god if he's in the bedroom i'm fucked' you muttered to yourself.

you quietly walked up the stairs, making sure to make no noise just in case he heard you. you got to the bedroom door but before you could open in you heard groaning and grunting as if he was injured. you turned the door knob and the door flung open. he wasn't injured. there he was. but not just him. you could feel a lump in the back of your throat. you felt like you were going to throw up. he was with another woman. it was grace of course. you could feel the tears welling up in your eyes. but you held them back.

without saying anything, you ran back downstairs and through the front door. you didn't care if you had nothing to take with you. you could go and stay at arthur's or john's. you had clothes there and you could go back another day and get your stuff. you couldn't be anywhere near him any longer. you ran towards tommy's car, tears falling down your cheeks. but before you could get to the car, you heard your name being called out. 'Y/N!!' it was tommy.

'fuck off tommy , i never want to see you near me again. i fucking loved you. so much. but you didn't love me back, did you? no. you always loved grace. i could see it in your eyes when you looked at her. but it's fine, i'm going and you never have to see me again. goodbye thomas shelby'

'Y/N wait!!' he tried to stop you.

you ignored him completely. you got in the car and drove off. you missed him already, but you never wanted to see him again.
