(A/N: I'm adding a few more pieces here because I had more ideas from rewatching the show.)

Mom's birthday is in three days...I fucking hate this day, especially being here and not in the city to leave flowers on her grave.
"Hey, why aren't you ready for school?"
I look at my dad and roll my eyes.
"I'm getting there." I grumble.
"You're gonna be late."
Here we go, every year.
"So...are we not gonna go give flowers to mom?"
The silence just stays there, none of us say anything for a while.
"I'm not."
"Why? She's your wife." I scoff.
"She was my wife."
"Still is."
"Sierra, she's dead." He sighs. "We have to move on at some point."
"You have, but that's my mom."
"I know, but I don't think it's a good idea to drive all that way." He shrugs.
"Whatever, get out so I can get dressed."

What an asshole, he's fucking moved on and that means he forgets about the woman he married and had his only child with? I love Maggie, but my mom is my mom. The woman that raised me, and loved me through everything...until I was stupid. I get out the car and light up a cigarette, I cannot handle this whole Jake and Brooke thing today.
"Are you okay?" I look at Noah who stands in front of me.
"I'm fine."
"You sure? You kinda parked away from Emma and the others, you haven't said hi or come to our usual spot."
"I'm just going through something."
"Is it Brooke?" He sighs. "Jake isn't here."
"I don't care about him, it's my mom."
"Oh..."
"It's her birthday soon and...I want to go to the city to see her."
"So what happened with your mom? Bad divorce?" He chuckles lightly to ease the mood.
"She died." I click the cigarette away.
"Shit, sorry..."
"It was my fault, I was high and she was just so mad that I broke a promise and...I pushed her."
"Does anyone else know?"
"Emma doesn't, Brooke yeah." I shrug.
"You live with Emma? How does she not know?"
"I don't...want Emma to think less of me." I frown.
"I get it, why don't you join us on the grass and try chill?"
I think for a moment before deciding to just join them, I sit next to Emma and stare at Brooke.
"This is awkward." Kieran mumbles.
"Will you two just talk?" Emma groans.
I shrug and light up another cigarette.
"I think we should leave you guys alone." Kieran sighs.
The rest of the guys agree before walking away. Brooke just keeps staring at me, I try to ignore the glare.
"You said you'd stop."
"You said you and Jake wouldn't fool around again." I scoff.
"You were all over Emma!"
"Because she's my step sister!" I snap. "Brooke, I like you...a lot. I have never done anything against you." I look away from her.
The silence is killing me, I'm so angry over everything right now and it's not helping. I can feel my fists clenching tightly together as I try to breathe and calm myself. I feel a head on my shoulder, Brooke wraps her arms around me slowly.
"I'm sorry..." She whispers.
"I forgive you." I mutter.
"Why?"
"I like you, I really do and I have these intense feelings for you and sometimes that scares me, but you make my head spin, and I just...I want you."
"And I want you, I'm sorry...sometimes I think if I do something crazy it's gonna break us, and I hate myself for hurting you."
I finally wrap my arms around her, holding her close to me.
"It's always you, Brooke and it always will be you."
"Do you wanna tell me what's going on?" I pull back slightly. "I know there's something wrong, you're tense and you're not your usual self."
"Mom's birthday...dad wants to stay here instead of putting flowers on her grave like we always do."
"Can't you go?"
"I could, if my dad would let me leave tonight I can be back for Kierans birthday."
"Well, we're having a party tomorrow for that."
"I don't think it's a good idea though...my dad and Maggie are gone for a day." I sigh. "I don't want my dad to lose trust in me."
"Look, I promise this is gonna be good and nothing bad is gonna happen."
