I don't want to be here at this carnival. My dad walks over to me in his uniform, looking all professional and tough. His face softens as he approaches, he wraps his arms around me tight and holds me close.
"Its okay, you can do this."
"I wish we stayed in the city." I pull back and wipe the tears in my eyes. "I'm sick of being hurt."
"Maybe...I can figure something out and I can get you an apartment there..."
"Really?"
"But, you go to a different school, you stay away from those guys, you stay clean."
"I can do that." I nod.
"I trust you." He kisses my head softly and walks away.
"What was that?" Emma frowns.
"I guess my dad's trusting me to move to the city alone." I shrug.
"Because of Brooke?" Audrey scoffs.
"You don't get it...I'm really hurting."
"Lets just enjoy our day." They both wrap an arm around me.

Emma and Audrey convince me to see Brooke in the tent, I see Stavo walking out and can't hold back. I shove him back.
"You stay away from her." I growl.
"She asked me to come over." He smirks.
I reach for my knife under my shirt, but stop.
"Just, fuck off." I scoff.
He chuckles as he walks away. I walk into the tent, looking at the tipsy blonde.
"Baby." She slurs.
"Dont, Brooke." I sigh. "I got a text last night." I show her the picture.
"It was nothing."
"Don't lie to me!" I raise my voice slightly. "I'm not an idiot, if you don't wanna be with me then tell me."
"I do, he's just so persuasive."
I shake my head, pushing her lightly as she tries to kiss me.
"Sober up, I'll see you out there...if you can even walk onto that stage."

Brooke's drunken speech is something else, its impressive that she can remain so coherent being that drunk.
"And my girlfriend Sierra, who always sticks by me even though I can be a bitch." She sobs.
Oh god, here we go. I wait a little bit before joining the others.
"Should we leave you guys alone?" Emma looks between us.
"No, I want everyone to hear this." I cross my arms. "You have one last chance, you fuck up like that again and I'm gone."
"You're serious?" Brooke groans.
"My dad might let me move if things keep going wrong."
"You would leave us?"
"I would leave all of this in a heartbeat." I scoff. "Coming here was one of the biggest mistakes."
"You don't mean that." Noah smiles.
"My childhood best friend was killed, I was framed for murder, I was spiked and had my worst secret blown to everyone which is what I got away from, my dog was gutted in my back yard, so yes I mean it, Noah." I shake my head and swiftly walk away to grab a smoke.

"That was cold." I look at Eli.
"Are you spying on me?"
"No, I just overheard." He shrugs.
"You creep me out." I blow smoke as I speak.
"Yeah, I get that a lot." He gets a little closer. "But, I get it...this place isn't exactly paradise."
"Its hell on earth."
"I can see that, you know...Emma thinks highly of you."
I chuckle softly.
"She shouldn't."
Lucky for me, Emma walks out and takes my hand.
"Come on, I'm treating you to movies and food." She smiles. "I think you need a chill night."
"I think you are completely right."

Emma and I sit on my bed, chilling and laughing until Emma gets an email. We both listen to the audio silently.
"I brought Piper to Lakewood." We look up at Audrey at the door.
I quickly jump up and take my knife out its holder.
"Woah." She puts her hands up.
"Get out." I frown.
"You don't understand, I was on my way to tell you Emma."
"You got Rachel killed!" I yell.
"I didn't think that would happen!"
"And Will, and you got me framed!"
Emma grabs my arms, pulling me away.
"I think you should leave."
That bitch.
