"Sophie Foster, will you be my girlfriend?" I asked as she looked me in the eye.

"I thought you'd never ask! of course!" she kissed me again, and I kissed back. This was by far the happiest day of my life.

"So, anything you guys need to tell us?" Keefe asked as we all met at school the next day. (Us being me Sophie Keefe Dex and Biana)

"Well, not just yet. What about you, and Biana?" Sophie teased Keefe. He and my sister blushed, and I squeezed Sophe's hand.

"What?"

"What what?"

"What could we possibly have to tell you?"

Biana rolled her eyes.

"Keefe, I do. Well you've known it for years. Since I was nine, probably. Anyway, you can't lie to an Empath!" she copied his signature line, causing him to raise an eyebrow at her. He took we hand, and she blushed.

"Ah, I feel it now. You sooooooo, are gonna lose the race to the school!" he took off running with Biana following him, both of them laughing. She and my best friend ran out of sight.

"Well, I guess nothing's important enough to tell me, then. Even though I am supposedly your new girlfriend's best friend." I blushed a Dex guessed exactly the truth.

"Dex, you guessed it."

"Guess, what?"

"Well," I took Sophie's hand. He glared at it for a moment but then remembered that they were practically cousins, so he let it go.

"I should've told you immediately, Dex. I'm sorry. Just I promise you won't be the third wheel or anything." He rolle his eyes as we heard the bell go in Foxfire.
