010.

Rainn Dahlia Stilinski

we all finally finished school and i was now a sophomore. as brett laid on my bed, throwing a ball and catching it, i read through my phones.

"you know your gonna be a senior right?" i asked.
"i know"
"that means we wont be partners in bio anymore"
"yes we will, she even said out partners last year are our partners this year" he said with a laugh.
"well atleast your slightly more tolerable"
"shut up"
"you know im right"
"so, school just ended, deadpools over and look. still dont know what you are"
"maybe it was just a slip up. maybe they ddint mean to put me on there"
"i dont think thats the reason at all. even if it was a slip up, you wouldnt be worth 23 million"
"well they took derek off"
"because he turned mortal"
"so maybe they meant to take me off too since im mortal"
"im not to sure about that"
"eh, i think im perfectly human"

Third Person

a few days had passed since school ended. as the sheriff came home from a long day at the station, he looked into stiles' room to find him and malia passed out. it was really late at night so he expected it but when he looked in his daughters room, she was nowhere to be seen. he walked back into stiles' room before waking them up.

"have you seen your sister?"
"no. she's in her room"
"unless shes invisible, shes not there"
"maybe she's with brett" malia suggested.
"i think brett's with lori" stiles added.
"and you didnt hear or see her leave?"
"no but maybe its cause i was sleeping"
"well she cant be outside because its supposed to drop down a few degrees in about an hour"
"i thought it already did"
"no its still freezing out there"
"did you call talia or rosie?"
"no"

stiles grabbed his phone before texting rosie and talia but receiving nothing from both.

"maybe she's just hanging out late with friends and her phone died" malia said as a loud boom was heard.

stilinski grabbed his gun before walking out of stiles' room and down the stairs. the door was wide open with cold breezes coming through. he looked around beofre seeing brett standing there, slightly out of breath.

"jesus brett, what are you doing here?"
"wheres rainn?" he asked.
"i dont know, thats what were trying to figure out right now"
"i think shes in some real trouble"

minutes earlier..

brett was working out as usual until he heard his phone ring. he hadnt talked to rainn since he was at her house so it was slightly shocking to see her calling him right now.

"rainn?"
"b-brett?" she asked through a shaky voice.
"hey where are you?"
"brett i-im scared. i-i dont kn-know where i am or w-whats happening to m-me"
"rainn your gonna be okay. i just need to know where you are okay?"
"i-i dont know it-its dark and r-really cold. i-im like strapped d-down to something an-and it hurts. it h-hurts so bad"
"im gonna find you okay? stay on the call"
"i-i cant. my ph-phones about to d-die"
"tell me what you see"
"i dont know. i-it hurts and its too dark t-to see. m-maybe trees"
"just stay put alright? im gonna find you, i promise"
"p-please hurry" she cried before her phone died.

now..

"i need every deputy and every trained officer looking in the woods. we need a thorough search to find rainn dahlia stilinski. temperatures are dropping and this could become deadly if she's out there for too long. she's around 5'2, skinny, blueish green eyes and dark brown hair. she's about to be a sophomore in highschool" sheriff explained on the radio.

every deputy and worker was out in the woods looking for her. brett, stiles and malia all ran into the woods together and tried to find a scent on her. scott and his mother were in the woods as well in case she was sick and needed immediate help. rosie, talia and lydia searched together, liam and mason went into the woods together and even some on satomi's pack went out to help find her.

it was pitch black outside and hard to make out any type of smell with all the people in the woods and considering it had just rained last night made their smells completely messed up. 

while they searched the woods, some locals in beacon hills even decided to join. they still hadnt found anything. no footsteps, no scents, no evidence or anything.

as rainn struggled to get the restraints off her, tears streamed down her cheeks. she could feel herself shivering and shaking from how cold it was getting. she could feel blood running down her skin from pulling so hard but at this point, she didnt even care. her body was freezing and she felt like it was about to go numb. she had shorts and a t-shirt on but she didn't remember anything.

she did remember going to sleep in a hoodie and leggings though. whoever did this to her, was planning for her to possibly freeze to death. she checked her phone one last time, hoping it would come back on for that last bit of life. when it didnt, she launched it across from her and heard it hit something.

while the deputies, locals and friends searched the woods, they were caught off guard by a scream. a loud, guttural scream. it almost sounded like one lydia would have done. malia and stiles watched as brett took off, sprinting through the forest. he dodged every tree and every obstacle in his way, just wanting to find rainn.

the deputies and locals all followed the group of friends and headed towards the sound of the scream. the deputies even had police dogs in hopes of finding her before she froze.

brett ran and ran until he saw a silhouette of a girl. he ran closer before seeing the small girl laying there. he wrapped his hands around the thick restraints before yanking them off. he looked down at the small crying girl before wrapping his arm aroudnd her waist and taking her pain. he whipped off his jacket and placed it on the rainn before leaning down to her.

"rainn, listen to me okay? your gonna be okay you just gotta stay with me a little longer alright? im gonna get you home" he said before lifting up the whimpering girl.

she cried and whimpered into his chest as he held her trembling body while trying to run as fast as he could. he could feel how cold she was and hear her heartbeat racing.

as he got closer to the search groups, he felt her body go limp as she passed out in his grip.

"damn it rainn! come on!"

he kept going until he reached the friend group, melissa and the sheriff. melissa touched her arm before urging brett to get her home or else she wouldnt make it much longer.

brett rushed back before pushing the door open and kicking it closed with his foot. he ran up the stairs and laid her in the bed before digging through her closet. he slightly smiled while grabbing his hoodie off a hanger and placing it over the tank top she already had on.

he put the blanket over her to hopefully warm her up before turning to walk out.

"b-brett please, please stay" she whispered.

brett took off his jacket before laying beside her on his side. she moved herself so she was close enough to cuddle into him while pressing her body against his. he made sure the blanket covered her before placing his hand on the small of her back and softly running it up and down to soothe her and bring her body temperature back up to normal.

malia, stiles, scott, liam, talia, rosie and lydia all slowly opened rainn's door to see the two of them sleeping, cuddled into eachother. once they closed the door, rosie spoke first.

"i've never seen brett show so much affection.. anyone wanna make a bet that they'll be dating within the next week or two?"
"bretts gonna break her heart" liam said.
"then he'll have a pack of werewolves after him" malia stated.
"i say we just let it play out and see how it goes. i think their good for eachother"
