"Watch me shine!" I belted, jumping onto Alex's platform as I sang.
"I got a spark in me, hands up if you can see! And you're apart of me, hands up if you're with me! Now 'til eternity, hands up if you believe! Been so long and now we're finally free!" I leaped off of Alex's platform, my dress flying up a bit as I did.
"We're all bright now, what a sight now, coming out like we're fireworks! Marching on proud, turn it up loud, 'cause now we know what we're worth!" Julie sang at center stage, hitting her moon shaped tambourine against her thigh.
I ran over to Reggie, sharing my lilac mic with him. "We know we can make it we're not falling under, close my eyes and feel my chest beating like thunder!" We sang, smiling at each other.
I could feel his breath on my nose and my face brightened with color. I winked at him, twirling away from the mic and joining Julie in the center.
"I wanna fly, come alive, watch me shineeee!" We sang together.
"I got a spark in me, hands up if you can see! And you're apart of me, hands up if you're with me! Now 'til eternity, hands up if you believe! Been so long and now we're finally free!" The band sang together, Julie and I belting out the last lyrics of the verse.
"I got a spark in me, hands up if you can see! And you're apart of me, hands up if you're with me! Now 'til eternity, hands up if you believe! Been so long and now we're finally free!" Julie grabbed my hand and twirled me towards Alex's platform.
I climbed onto it, humming along as he played. The blonde boy laughed eagerly his eyes creasing in the edges like they always did, I had noticed, when he was genuinely happy.
"I got a spark in me, I got a spark in me. And you're apart of me, and you're apart of me. Now 'til eternity, now 'til eternity! Been so long and now we're finally free!" Julie and Luke dueted, so close to each other that I swear they could've kissed if they leaned in one more inch.
"I got a spark in me, hands up if you can see! And you're apart of me, hands up if you're with me! Now 'til eternity, hands up if you believe! Been so long and now we're finally free!" I placed my hand in Reggie's, leaping off Alex's platform again.
My dress fluttered up like dove's wings and I grinned at the crowd who shrieked excitedly in response. Reggie spun me under his arm and I marched to center stage, Julie letting me solo.
"I got a spark in me, hands up if you can see! And you're apart of me, hands up if you're with me! Now 'til eternity, hands up if you believe! Been so long and now we're finally free!" I soloed, winking at Jess and Flynn who were cheering and dancing along.
"I got a spark in me, hands up if you can see! And you're apart of me, hands up if you're with me! Now 'til eternity, hands up if you believe! Been so long and now we're finally free!"
"Finally Freeee," Julie soloed, smiling into her mic. "Yeahhh..."
The boys vanished behind us after we bowed. Julie and I stood hand in hand center stage, hearts pounding as we walked off.
"Oh!" I ran back on. "We're Jatie and the Phantoms, tell your friends!" I winked, remembering Reggie's signature line.
The audience burst into another round of cheering and applause. I waved, running off the stage and diving into Jess's arms.
