《3》 "Why does it hurt?"

    You had all the things you needed from your place. But yet, you felt rather empty and a tad alone. You had two [you think] friends, and yet, you felt like something was eating you up inside. Maybe it was your soul, a side effect you didnt know about when extracted what Nightmare called your Au. That still needed some clearing up, what was an au? You had plenty of questions.

    After getting dressed in a [favorite color] hoodie/jacket and putting on a [shirt style] shirt, and some sweats you walked outside your room. Your hair woke up in a decent way so you left it that way [if you have long hair you made it into a messy bun] your soul was aching, and you looked around. Summoning it you sighed, it was still its blue grey self, but the green was a tad faded, must be all the negative energy in the castle. You needed a break from the place already, but you needed to get used to such harsh negativity. Perhaps Cross could help you out.

     Finally, the living room, even if you found your room easily, it didn't mean you had an easy time finding the other rooms. Dust and Horror weren't around and it also felt like you were up late..did you sleep in again? Does this place even have a sense of time? Brushing that aside you spotted white fluff, smiling you walked over to Cross.

    "Hey Cross, is there some way ia can just...leave this place? It sounds like I'm escaping but hear me out." It took him a second but he nodded, as if waiting for someone to give him permission to hear you out. "My soul has dual traits, negativity and kindness. If one of the two weakens it can risk the other side of my soul, and the Kindness side is having a struggle handling all of the negativity."

    Cross cut you off before you started speaking again, "So, if you dont leave you risk dying? For how long will you have to take a break?"

    "There isn't too much damage, so most likely an hour or two. Just, a place where there is no sign of negativity." Really getting your point across huh? You chuckled in your mind at your own pun.

    He hesitated, "I'd have to run this across Nightmare first, if not he could easily kill me thinking I was helping you escape. He can dust any monster with a lash of his...tentacle." Cross always felt strange saying his boss can just tentacle stab people to death.

   Cross left the room, and you waited for a bit. Your soul aching more and more hot the second, at least you found out why and weren't asking yourself why it hurt so much. But at the same time, you could use this as an excuse to go outside and not be trapped here, well at least until you got used to it. A few seconds after thinking that cross came back giving you a thumbs up.

   "Theres plenty of positive aus, but one of the most cheery and has a very happy skeleton is probably Underswap. Just don't mention us and I see you have a necklace from Nightmare." He pointed to the black apple necklace, this was from him? "Just hold the apple and he will send me to get you back. Nothing too difficult."

    A white rift opened up, and you walked in landing in soft snow. The portal closed and you got a good look around, you were underground! Amazed you continued to walk, you lived in the more northern parts of the city where snow mainly fell but it was so peaceful it was actually enjoyable! Walking along there was a giant stick, you wanted to pick it up so badly, but it was too heavy for your noodle arms. So you let it be.

SNAP!!

    What was that?! You whirled around and froze, how did that stick just break? With a slightly panicked mind you shuffled forward before you neared a bridge, it seemed someone didn't build it well. You were about to slip through before...

    "H U M A N... D O N T Y O U K N O W H O W T O G R E A T A N E W P A L? T U R N A R O U N D A N D S H A K E M Y H A N D." Shivering in fear you looked at the tall figure and shook his hands and you felt a light shock, and retreated your hand. "Heh, the ol' joy buzzer trick, always funny. By the way, the names Papyrus. Yours kid?"

   Now no longer afraid of the tall figure you would happily tell him your name, "[Y/n!] Nice to meet you, Papyrus." He honestly looked rather laid back and chill almost like Sans back at home. But his name was that of his younger brother...is this why it was named underSWAP? Were their places just jumbled up?

   "Say, you aren't the first human to fall down here. A week ago a smaller kid fell down here. Come on my bro will be exited to have a new buddy. Hold my hand, I know a shortcut."

   Giving him all your trust you took his hand and for a minute you felt dizzy. Once it faded away you were in front of a nice home, but inside sounded like there was a war going on. A cooking war at least. Pots and pans sounded like they were being thrown together. What in the world was going on? Curiosity took over you as you walked in a Taco landed on your faces sliding off, glitter sticking to your hair and face. Who puts glitter in their Tacos?

   The short baby blue wearing skeleton infront of you did. You wanted to pinch his cheeks from how cute he was! You were sure all the kindness you needed just refuled by looking at him, he was just so cute! Keeping your cool you waved.

   What you didn't expect to him basically yell at you, well, he was yelling at you! In a friendly way, "ANOTHER HUMAN FRIEND! MWEHE! HELLO, I AM THE MAGNIFICENT SANS! THOUGH MOST PEOPLE CALL ME BLUE, OR BLUEBERRY!" He introduced.

   "Hello the magnificent blueberry, I'm [Y/n]!" You could die right there and be happy, but you already didnt want to leave this guy. "Is this taco yours?" He nodded as you picked it up, "Where I come from, we don't usually put glitter in our tacos.."

    His eyes turned into actual stars, "WOWIE SO YOU AND THE HUMAN CHARA ARE FROM THE SAME PLACE! SHE SAID THE SAME THING! BUT YOU LOOK OLDER!" You nodded, the child he was speaking off looked a lot like Frisk, but lighter skin, and cite pink cheeks, "THEN YOU MUST SHOW ME HOW YOU MAKE THESE HUMAN TACOS!"

    "Gladly baby blue!" That was now his official nickname for him! "Let's get started shall we?"

《After a few bickers, you finally taught baby blue to make edible tacos, but you needed to head back. Seeing as an hour passed》

   "Sorry baby blue, but I'm gonna head around and explore see you...I hope." You smiled as you hugged him.

   "HUMAN [Y/N] WAIT! HERE AS A TOKEN FOR HELPING ME LEARN A NEW TACO RECEPIE!" He took off to his room and came back with another bandana, just like his! "YOU CAN HAVE ONE OF THE MAGNIFICENT SANS' SCARFS! THERES NOT ANOTHER LIKE IT!"

   You thanked him and gave him a tight hug before putting it on and going into the woods. Rubbing the apple a portal opened and Cross let you through not questioning the new cloth that was around your neck. You went to your room, you loved the bean but...he was also quite draining. And you went into your wonderful nightmare filled dreams...

   "I should spend more time with Nightmare...just don't know how.." you mumbled to yourself as you passed out.
