PROTECTIVE [Dreamtale Nightmare x reader]

《7.5》 Christmas special

《This isnt considered a chapter but the events that happen here will affect the main story. The presents they give you mainly.》

Today was a very special day with the villains, it was Christmas! And [y/n] had every intention to get them gifts and deliver them to their doors. With the help of Error [and some convincing]they managed to open a portal to an au and go on a small shopping spree and get gifts. They knew they weren't getting anything in return, but it was very much worth it.

"I should have thought about the wrapping part before buying these items.." [y/n] mumbled, annoyed.

Each skeleton had a drawing and a store bought gift. They really only knew 2 in a close sense, and the rest were semi close or very distant. Cross was easy, they baught him 2 boxes of chocolate, and from what they heard Error also loved the sweet. Killer got a knife kit, and sharpener, Horror was harder..he loved food that was for sure. So he simply got some of those food kits, Dust was just as difficult, but they got him a hoodie that didnt have blood stains, along with a knife. He sometimes used a knife, not very often but the one [y/n] found was nice looking! Nightmare, he was a special case, he loved reading, and from the looks of his library he had about every book in the multiverse! Damn that book worm of a skeleton!

But [y/n] had one book, one book very dear to them. It was passed down so if he had it there must be a copy. It was a fairy tale, about a kingdom and two princes, brothers and protectors of the throne.

With everything wrapped and drawings put in along with them, it was time to deliver them. Smiling brightly they made their way around the castle placing the packages where they should be. Infront of their bedroom doors, all but Nightmares, his was at his throne. It was their luck all of the skeletons were out doing whatever it is they were doing. Probably fighting Dreamy boy's team.

A sigh escaped the humans mouth, feeling the soft fabric of their scarf that Blue had given them. They couldn't get him anything, as seeing him would end badly for either the cute skeleton or them. Nightmare still was pissed off they took you, even if they didn't do a thing. Looking around the only other people around were the Papyrus guards and they were never too much for a conversation.

Couldn't they just hurry up already? They have been gone for 2 hours, the longest the gang has been away.

Frowning they turned around and went to their room, a small nap wouldnt harm them, plus once they saw their presents they will surely wake them up. Hopefully not in a rude way.

Knock knock knock

With a jump you jump up from the comforts of your bed, and walked to your door. Checking the time, you had been sleeping for 2 hours, wow. Smiling and shaking your head you opened the door to see everyone there, cross and killer up front smiling.

"Thanks for the gifts, [y/n]!" They yelled, Cross already eating his chocolate, Killer excitedly holding two of his new knifes.

"WhY dId yOu gEeeTt us pResEnTtS?" Error asked confused, yet happily eating his chocolate as well. Was that why you asked him to open a portal two weeks ago?

"You don't have that bad of fashion choices." Dust said almost impressed walking into your room, wearing his hood.

Horror walked on next not saying a word as he ate the cheese, one of the multiple food items you had gotten him. Error, Killer, and Cross also walked in. Nightmare stood there holding the book.

"Where did you get this book? I've never seen or read this before." His single blue eye scanned you, a hint of happyness in there as well.

"Its a book that has been handed down by my family for decades. Thought you would enjoy it, I've had it for years and know it like the back of my hand." You smiled as he walked in. "Glad you all like your gifts! Merry Christmas."
