Glitch Tales - The Wrong War

Chapter 9

This chapter is kinda dark sowwy! Don't worry the others are more action and fluff! Anyways if ya don't want to read even minor gore then skip the last scene! Lucas was by the Rainbow Tree of Life in a secluded area. For some reason his body had been pulled here after the meeting and he was a bit confused as to why. He suddenly froze though when he heard a voice behind him. "Ooo~ I was hoping you would come! For some reason I have an easier time manipulating you and Spency! I don't why though and that is a problem." "Who are you!?" Lucas shouted as he spun around only to see nothing, "What..." "Haha you'll have to try harder than that!" Lucas continued to spin around looking for this voice as he shouted, "What do you mean manipulate me and Spencer? Are you the one who hurt Spencer! Do you work for Dark Steve?" The voice burst into full blown laughter and Lucas started to get nervous.

"Oh no~ I don't work for that idiot! Nope! I'm my own... Umm person? Steve? Y'know what nevermind. Anyways I am here to congratulate you in being a participant to lead a war against you friend Sabre! I must admit it was hilarious to watch you two argue~ I really have out done myself this time." Lucas suddenly started to shake and yelled, "Wait... I-I... Sabre was innocent... Dark Steve isn't evil... You are! Yo-you did something to me!"

The things laughter increased even more and Lucas started to get a bad feeling. "Well~ You're also a smart boy aren't you~ I won't go into details but yes you aren't hehe all you." A user or atleast that's what he thought it looked like appeared in front of him. It was pitch black but as it lifted it's head and looked at him he could see it's blood red eyes and sharp white rows of teeth. "Hello Lucas~ The name is Glitch and well... We are going to become good friends~"

Sabre looked at the group with a sad expression. "Hey everyone... So we are going to war. I know that we already understood this but still I'm just trying to explain the situation... It's all of us against Lucas, Light Steve, Rainbow Steve, Blue Steve, Mogi, and Moose. Also maybe Spencer but he seemed neutral and he has an injury so I think he will stay out of things. Now we might be outnumbered but not by much and we have teamwork and power which not all of them do. We can win this and when we do then I'll show Lucas that I am right and we can all work together to get home!"

The entire group cheered and Sabre sighed, "That's all... I'm going to my room. I'll see you guys later." They all nodded and went to go do what they were doing before. Sabre quietly went to his room all the while nervously thinking of all the things that could go wrong. Why had Lucas betrayed him and the others too! He had trusted all of them and this is how they treated him!? With a war! He was terrified, absolutely terrified...

He locked the door to his room and collapsed with his head in his hands. "Sabre... Sabre look it will all turn out okay..." Sabre shook his head without looking up and whispered, "I started a war... I just wanted to help and now I've made things so much worse. So so much worse..." Yellow Steve shook his own head and kneeled down so he was eye level with Sabre. "You need to calm down because this will all turn out alright. I know it will! You have the others to help you too!" "B-but I'm going to get them hurt..." "No Lucas is, not you!" Sabre went silent and slowly looked up. "Don't be a coward Sabre. Rise up or else you all will be crushed." Sabre looked at him and slightly smiled, "You have a point there I guess." Yellow Steve grinned and fell backwards so he was sitting in front of him propped up on his hands. "Of course I do~" Sabre suddenly started laughing and Yellow Steve smiled softly and did too.

Moose really hoped he was going in the right direction. It had been about a day since he left and he had been found no signs of the others. He bolted ahead in a forest as he heard another bolt of lightening in the distance. The lightening had started about an hour after he left and it was the only lead he had to where the others were. After a while though he started to see some torches that seemed to make a trail.

"Odd... Why would someone make a trail of torches?" He decided to follow since the lightening had stopped. He started to get tired after a while and took off his hood while sitting leaned against a tree. He reached up and felt his antlers which had grown quite a bit. He didn't know how large or long they were going to grow but it was a little funny and cool. After a while he was ready and continued on his way.

Green Steve groaned as he took another painful step forward. His sprain had been getting worse since he hadn't taken the time to properly heal it. Although he didn't mind that much especially since he was so close to the Rainbow Town. Any second now he should come upon it and he could go warn them of this evil entity. He groaned as he continued painfully walking. He was so close... He came to the top of a hill and finally saw the Rainbow Town and he smiled. He had made it, he was free. He took a step forward and grinned since he was finally safe!

"Sorry bud but I can't have you ruining anything!" He was grabbed by the neck and tossed into a tree hearing a loud crack coming from his right shoulder with a lot of pain. He looked up and a horrified look came across his face as he instantly recognized that glitchy figure. "Hehe~ You remember me huh. Well I can't have you spoiling my fun now can I~" He kicked Green Steve in the stomach and Green Steve started to cry in pain. "Aww what's wrong crybaby~" He then put his foot on Green Steve's sprained ankle and pressed down. "Pl-please do-don't-" Glitch crushed his ankle with all the strength he had. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" "Oopsies~ Sorry I meant to crush the nerves too."

At this point Green Steve was barely conscious and Glitch started to laugh as he saw the pained barely conscious look on Green Steve's face. "Hey! Don't go to sleep yet! I still wanna have some fun!" Green Steve whimpered and Glitch could only giggle while pressing down on his other ankle. "Y'know I gotta finish the job!" He then crushed his other ankle and Green Steve cried out even louder. Eventually he started to get quieter in his crying until he had passed out against a tree. "Night night! Well that's one problem solved~" Glitch sang as he dissappeared.
